I might be a little afraid of that given that as far as i know that game didn't have an arcade version and you've said that the requests channel is no longer taking requests.

I'll get back into requests eventually, I suspect. Working on a couple projects for after this main series is finished, and I find every time I work a bit on one I'm much more inclined to go and record a vid, because it reminds me of how simple and just fun the process is. Currently recording a bunch of wrestling vids for the Requests channel actually, just for the fun of it, and I suspect that although this project will technically "finish", I'll still go back and do quite a few other things from time to time.

I predict we'll move on to something else for a while, do the occasional console fighter either as a springboard for a different topic like Def Jam or because it's as Samuel L Jackson once said: Just plain damn weird like say Ballz 3D and then a few years later we uncancel this and catch up to those years of fighting games.

Ok I would prefer yami over galactus in marvel vs capcom 3, he's more unique and has a more interesting move set than galactus, also I LOVE okami

What happens if you beat the game with yami in terms of endings? Does the game just crash?

From my experience it just repeats endlessly, namely as Yami doesn't have an ending so it doesn't know how to end.

That's a really tough one to call, actually. I think Abyss would probably win out on the whole, mainly due to their ability to spam supers, and especially how 3rd form Abyss has attacks which make him temporarily invincible, meaning he could probably cheese Yami most of the time.

You know (not sure though if there's any other character/villain that takes this kind of form), something about Yami's appearance greatly reminds me of Abyss (from MvC2)'s true form, which is a metallic core/orb with crazy symbols engraved on it. Considering Okami came out years after MvC2's release, I wouldn't be surprised if Abyss was one of the inspirations in designing Yami... Also, I guess that character you'll be focusing on next has covered wars, right?

I wonder if it comes from some form of Japanese lore then, in that case. Lord knows Japanese has a ton of demons in its mythology. As for Abyss being an inspiration for Yami, well, I definitely wouldn't rule it out. Games companies will sometimes reuse ideas wholesale if they feel like it; one of the biggest examples I can think of is Gearbox reusing the final boss they made in Half-Life Opposing Force for the final boss of Borderlands 1. And yep, you got it.

It's actually pretty limited and constraint on the whole, but he's still perfectly playable. Shame there wasn't a mode to play as him, like the one for Galactus in UMVC3

Unplayable bosses after the mid-90s started to get really interesting. Before that, with the exception of The General, they weren't that interesting, but afterwards we ended up with tons of interesting ones, most of which I've already covered.
