the story, especially the ending, is amazing but some of it are poorly written. isurugi is a silent but badass character in the start of season 2 but the writers could have given him a better role since piloting the helmvige reincar. also, i hate how they made hush's story. he could have been mikazuki's partner. by the way they have been building his backstory, he could have developed his skills into someone who does not have AV but can keep up with AV users like ein, another poorly written character. it could even be better if they have given him the last and most heroic death, like after mikazuki's and akihiro's death, he protected the tunnel entrance from an army of grazes. that would have been better than being the IBO version of half-sack from sons of anarchy and dying at a random moment because of the pandemonium in the battlefield wothout fulfilling his great potential. oh, and ein could have at least killed a protagonist mobile suit pilot. maybe lafter. and the one who gets assassinated in the second season is the mechanic chick from teiwaz.

Especially how Mikazuki died before killing the bitch who then after is called demon slayer or something. He could've easily killed her off but due to realistic merciless setting, he died prematurely before the climax we all wanted to see.

Finally! I have been waiting for this guy review since December. Thanks! Art is fantastic. Implementation seems good. Shame about the mustard yellow but the overall silhouette is fantastic. It did nothing in the show though. A "sword carrier".

That square connector for the sword: You can push the handle further in until it locks. But it's a really really tight fit. Works wonders for posing though, assuming you don't want to break it down very often.

this guys story might have gotten edited out, IBO is the longest series iirc so they may have bitten off more than they could chew in some places. I'm glad we got the kit though, been looking forward to this one and its whole knightly minotaur look. that mustard color is really unique too.

Unfortunately animation doesn't work like live action as in films and TV. You don't edit stuff away unless it is an adaption from a source material. Gundam IBO is 50 episodes so it is of a standard length.

+Alvin Tay I realize this, what I mean to imply is he may have had a larger role during writing the story but it may have been removed or diminished prior to production. Heck, he could have been tacked on for all I know, they needed somebody to man the suit design they were proud enough of to animate in any case.

I doubt it, the kit only comes with the giant sword for mobile armours and nobody has mobile armours , and one of the main gimmicks; the feet, seem to be most optimized for ground

I think that the head on this kit has the mono-eye because it was part of the valkrye/graze frame, and to reduce costs by not making a part just for a part of the head. Though the pipes on the arms and legs looks like the barbatos frame, so idk.

i have a complaint! the elbow joint tends to come off. at least on mine. i check and double check but i did put it together the way it is intended and it keeps happening on both arms! might as well just glue the part in question... leaving a single joint on the elbow but as the shoulders are that wont do much of a diference.

Flauros was buried in the same mine as Hashmal. Helmweige was originally Grimgerde before being remodelled because the suit was useful but had been seen fighting against Gjallerhorn as well.

They didn't say that they won't make the 1/100 scale for this kit. BUT, they did mention that Gundam Bael is going to be the last 1/100 for IBO. Its too bad really. Let hope that they would produce MG kit for IBO in the future. I really want 1/100 Gusion Rebake Full City. :(

i really feel the Valkyrie frame was wasted in season 2... it was awesome with the Grimgerde when it appeared, then it became background MS suit... i hope they will fully utilize the Valkyrie frame in the last episodes and why it and the Gundam frame were the final two frame that were considered in the Calamity War...

As you mentioned, the writing of the IBO series is pretty weak, they have many redundant characters in the series, so many clones and flat characters. I also don't like how the story progresses... If you want to do a video on a possible review of the IBO series, or any series in the Gundam franchise I'll totally watch it.

Gundam isn't exactly a series that is known for their awesome character development but to me it felt like they decided to just throw the thing called 'character' totally out of the window for Gundam IBO. How many characters can you name in the series that has actual character development? I'd say almost none. There is point to be told if some characters do not have development but not when all of them stay the same. They introduce characters only to neglect developing them, they introduce villains that have no motivation except to be bad, they kill off characters when you can almost see some sort of character development but nope, not having any of that. They had so much opportunity to develop the characters but they don't. I understand the series is entertaining, I do enjoy it quite a bit if I overlook my gripes about it. But my point is that when a show is entertaining, it doesn't make it automatically a great show. I love the action in the show, a lot of the mech designs are nice and the pacing I feel is pretty good. Just don't like the story and hate pretty much all of the characters. Sorry for the wall of text, I wanted IBO to be good but I was kinda disappointed. So allow me to rant here.

The IBO series, like most Gundam series, has really great battle sequences and pretty unique Gundam designs. Where they lose me or bore me is all the political garbage they spend entire episodes on. I don't only watch for giant robot fighting, story is important and this series, as he said, is really weak writing.
