Kind of. Remember the whole Fionna and Cake thing was really hardly based on canon to begin with, I mean, it was literally fan fiction. By Ice King. But if you want to see it as legit genderbends, which I guess you could if you really wanted, then yes technically. But Gumball, Marshall Lee and Fionna are really so different from their canon counterparts, they are really almost different characters entirely instead of the traditional rule 63. I love this generation of cartoons. I'm 18 at the moment, and even though I grew watching Courage,Ed Edd and Eddy, Zim, and others. I just love how cartoons are getting more emotionally mature about things I can relate. I can identify with Finn from Adventure time on how Living alone and in a strange place feels like, Steven universe on how important is to have a smile on my face no matter in which circumstance I am, regular show on how shit happens sometimes, and you either have to face the consequence or solve the problem. even shows like gumball has shown me that innocence and sincerity is the key for happiness. When I grow older I'm gonna tell to my kids that I survived through college , 1500 miles away from home thanks to Cartoon Network, that you can find a comfy small place where you feel protected of the exterior. that everything is all right. The Adventure Time Project is #6 on my list of my sixteen favorite animated television series. When I first heard that both Chowder and The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack were coming to an end, I was pretty sad. I always felt a void when I saw Cartoon Network afterwards. However, I always felt better when I saw the Adventure Time project. Not only did this show use a child voice for Finn, just like Chowder, but I felt content to know that show was created by former Flapjack writer Pendleton Ward. Not to mention how I did indeed like the stories Adventure Time had to tell. I liked watching Finn and Jake go on their various adventures and hearing all the voice actors who got to act with child actor Jeremy Shada. Part of what I liked about the stories was that they were simple. It wasn't until the fourth season that things started to get complicated. Yes, I liked a couple of the new plots in the late seasons, but what I like about Seasons 1 and 2 is that they were easier to understand. Although I would feel troubled when Jeremy Shada started to age and make Finn sound older, it will not change the fact that I really liked watching the first four seasons of the Adventure Time project. P.S. Can you do some 107 Facts videos about Chowder and the Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack?

Adventure time is a very clever show though, i mean the characters evolve over time and the underlying plot & themes are clever. and the show goes through many different perspective and alot of the stories and the different perspectives of the characters contribute to the bigger story that us at play. when i was younger i didnt catch any of that, but as i grew and i started watching the show again i started seeing patterns and the hidden truths of each episode.
