What time is it?? You know the drill. After 10 years and 8 glorious seasons, Adventure Time has finally come to an end. But while this may be sad news indeed, there’s no need to despair. We can always go back and re-watch the entire series from the beginning. And while you’re setting off on your epic re-watch, why not be on the lookout for some of the hidden gems the show’s creators sprinkled throughout the series?
These are the kinds of things only the truest of Adventure Time fans would notice. For instance, the opening titles manage to cram a ton of visual information and hints into 25 seconds. Also, do you know who actually performed the Adventure Time theme song? While the animation style might be simple, it takes much longer than you’d think to actually produce an episode of Adventure Time. The show’s creator Pendleton Ward has worn his influences on his sleeve, and even managed to include some of his favorite actors from his favorite shows in some of Adventure Time’s episodes. The post-apocalyptic landscape that has become so synonymous with Adventure Time was actually an organic development that came about due to the plotline of one specific episode. Turns out Jeremy Shada is more than just a great voice actor, he could have a future as an aspiring rap artist too.

I think it's really cute that Gunter's one true wish was to be like the Ice King. Because if you remember correctly, this isn't the first time a Gunter has wanted to be like his ice patriarch. The original dinosaur Gunter wanted to be more like Urgence Evergreen, meaning that even though our penguin Gunter was a disobedient little punk, he still loved and admired the Ice King.

Gunter's true wish wasn't to become the Ice King, that wish has already been spent by Gunter the dinosaur, GOLB reverted the crown back to it's original state (Where the wish is yet to be granted) and Betty made a wish. And when Gunther (The Penguin) made that wish, it wasn't inside of GOLB which means the wish has already been taken, which was to become Urgence Evergeen, Gunter's (The dinosaur) wish.

Dream theories like that are always disappointing, and they seem to be one of the most prevalent type of theory, unfortunately. It completely disregards any worldbuilding or character development and just says "none of that matters because it's just the wackiness of some 13-year old's fever dream".

Yeah, but the one greatest weakness of those kind of theories is the detailed-ness in episodes. Like, why would Finn dream about Marceline and Simon’s backstory? Why does Finn dream about Marceline and PB kissing and their relationship? And if it were a dream, why would he have Flame Princess move on when he hadn’t? Each character is far too complex and multidimensional for it to just be a dream.

Coma dream/dying dream fan theories are so lame, they're even lamer than when it actually happens in a show! It's such an unoriginal, childish way to end a story I'm actually annoyed it was even included on this list. Okay Okay Okay, I watched this entire show waiting for you to cover ONE THING, so I will do it. In the episode where bmo is explaining "what happened" during the elements miniseries, he mentions a blue Jay making noise. This noise is in fact Mordecai's (from regular show) iconic WOOOAAAAAHHH!!! implying that the blue Jay was mordecai. Same universe? Maybe. That gets me into thinking that Ooo is a remote island that was consumed by radiation making it so different and where regular show takes place is normal part of earth. Some characters in regular show are abnormal such as cj, Margaret, the park crew, etc. Maybe they originally came from Ooo? I think so.

That’s a good theory, but not just Ooo is all weird and stuff. The whole world is. There’s Ooo, the giant chunk missing from Earth, there’s the island thing that all the humans went to to survive, and other areas to. Also, BMOs storytelling isn’t the best, and what he said didn’t actually happen, (which you probably already know) but that doesn’t mean BMO hadn’t seen a giant blue jay making noises somewhere else, but maybe also he just completely made it up.

If the coma theory is/was true then their are a minimum of three things the end of the series mean: 1. Coma Finn dies of old age and the final episode is the last things he sees; 2.Finn wakes up from his coma after the final scene or 3. Either Finn dies wakes up or moves to a new coma dream story and the last scene is another kid who went into a coma and see themselves a bit differently as their coma dream story begins.
