Here's an Easter Egg I bet most people missed. In the episode "The Great Dime Chase" Gyro Gearloose pulls out a list of all of the robots he built that turned evil. On this list one of the robots of the evil side was labeled Cogs: this is a reference to the 2003 disney MMO RPG ToonTown Online where the enemies are a legion of evil robots created by Gyro Gearloose with the same name.

I feel so bad for people that dismiss this series because it's not like the old one. It's so amazing what they've been able to do with it, and you can tell the people that work on it really care about the source material. Not giving it a chance is so unfair. I grew up with the old version and I'm a huge fan of the new one! Franchises should be allowed to evolve over time, as long as it's done well and respectfully.

Alan Young's Scottish accent was genuine, as well. Both of his parents were Scottish, and the family moved back to Scotland when Young was a toddler. Alan Young said in interviews that he had tried to get rid of his Scottish accent when he moved to America, but it proved useful when he was cast as Scrooge. So Tennant is NOT the first Scottish Scrooge voice.

Do American kids really not know much about duckburg? It's seams so surreal for me because in Scandinavia Micky wasn't really that popular but we did have a weekly Donald Duck comic magazine for decades but it was demoted to monthly like 10 years ago as many felt it lost quality in the stories. But everyone growing up, at least to the 2000s should know about don rosa and carl barks as they where the big favourites and now and then,'especially around Easter and Christmas they would sell "special" magazines with their stories

No doubt about it, my absolute favorite DuckTales character is Fenton Crackshell Cabrera. 1. He is voiced by Lin Manuel Miranda (one of my idols and people I fangirl over) 2. This show has been a smashing success. Thanks for showing that a reboot can be done right guys. I really really hope this eventually clears the way for other reboots of the Disney after noon like Darkwing duck,Talespin,Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers,Goof Troop etc. A reboot is only bad if it is done badly. Put people that grew up watching the original series in charge of these reboots,and they are likely to be done better.

I discovered a big book of ducktales comics in the library near my house when I was like eight and I've loved them ever since. I didn't realize they were called the ducktales though, since they were labelled scrooge mcduck comics or something, so I was all the more excited when i saw the trailer for the show! I was born in 2004 so I never got to watch the original when it was airing since it was way before I was born. However, I do very much enjoy the reboot and it made me go back and watch the original series which I also enjoy! Overall, both the 1987 and 2017 versions of the show are so much fun!

Donald was in several episodes of the original series. The first episode begins him with him leaving for the navy and leaving the nephews with Scrooge. For example there is an arc a few episodes long where the gang has to go to save Donald from military court after he was hypnotized and made to give up government secrets.
