tbh it felt kinda underwhelming... so many commentary sites were already downplaying the stark sisters' forced and irrational conflict, calling it out as a red herring. i guess if people didn't think that way, the twist at "arya's hearing" might've been better. even then, LF basically crumpled and had no plan beneath the plan... not even some attempt to ask for trial by combat or whatever. he just... flatlined. very undeserving end for such a mercurial character.

I liked him the first 5 seasons then he like Tyrion just fell off a cliff storywise. Such a waste of two fantastic actors. Dinklage showed he still has it with Lena Headey in the finale though. Outstanding scene.

CribCricket, yeah I wish I knew more about the books before I started watching. I fell in love with the King's Landing stuff, all the plotting and scheming and the like. If I'd known that Boring Jon and Dany were the main protagonists of the whole thing I might have stopped at Season 6 and just binge watched 7 and 8 to finish the story instead of wasting 7 weeks being emotionally invested in it. Little Finger was a key figure in that scheming along with Varys. For me the best times in the series were when Tyrion was in Kings Landing as acting hand of the King.

You would be surprised..... The people I watched the episode with were like "but it's ice because fire is warm, duh!!" and stuff like "if it's fire, it would kill the Whight". I just wanted to smash my head the whole time. At the end I found out that they were put off because we called it fire (I always said "blue fire" the whole time...) and not "cold fire"..... This was the most stupid GoT discussion I ever had. It even looked just like literal blue fire in that scene.

I don't thinks it's flames or ice, ecause of Ironwave Studios said, it can't be ice. However, fire kills undeads, and the undead dragon didn't killed himeself, so it can't be blue fire either (unless undeads are killed just by certain colors of fire, wich I doubt). It's probably something else, magic, because it glows like undeads eyes, wich are powered thanks to magic

It was confirmed by Benioff as a blue flame. This way, each side will have an identifiable color onscreen during the final battle: Yellow for Dany/Jon. Blue for the Night King. Green for Cercei's wildfire.

SIege of Highguarden was not pointless to film. I want to know how the hell Lannister forces took in in one afternoon? Army defending the castle have HUGE advantage. 1000 man can hold the castle against 50000. They could fix this plothole easy and make it more fun. Just make Tarly forces betay Tyrells from inside the castle (as they are Tyrells bannermans) and open the gates for Lannisters. Also, show don't care about losses. If army fights and wins it stays at saem strenght, apperently.

So what if they never had soem major battle? I'm pritty sure 20000 green boys can hold the castle against 50000 veterans. Unlike most peopel thing defending the castle consists 99% of the time just waiting and rest is throwing things on the enemy and preventing them to breach inside. Sure, there are ways but that takes a lot of time. Lke digging tunnels or making mobile towers. It is not like none knows how to defend the castle over there, they read books to. Look at Jon Snow. What castle he defended before the wall? Granted, that was jsut show thing, but we are speaking of show. Speaking of the wall, 100 Nights watch man have been holding it against 100000.

Hm. I actually don't think the episode count was lowered because they started shooting it later. It originally was supposed to be 7 seasons with 10 episodes. HBO wanted to drag it out even further, but the producers decided against it. We now have a final season of "regular" length with 3 bonus episodes, that is split in halfes like it's usual for many productions now.
