Wow. Words fail me. The scene choices, the colors, the light, the shapes, the unexpected compositions! And two great artists having a delightful conversation... Thanks to both of you!

Thanks so much, Charlie, for discussing Carla's work! I love her unique approach to painting and I am so glad that many will get a chance to appreciate both her work and how delightful a person that she is! I only wish that her generous husband, Elroy (who we also consider to be a member of the Rattlesnake Gang!), was discussed because of the huge support role that he provides behind Carla's work (scouting locations, assisting with setup, frame making/framing, hanging, preparing coffee in the field, always staging exquisite lunches in the field complete with wine and elegant table settings, managing her schedule and online presence, etc., etc.). They truly are an admiral team, and I often joke that we all need an Elroy on our team! Great job Carla, and thanks again Charlie!!!

Very good interview with an artist whose paintings show that she can draw…sure Charlie appreciates! Great use of colors and shapes make her paintings compelling and expressive. Thanks Charlie.

Carlas work reminds me in some ways of the old British Railway posters, great design sense in both

Biggest misconception is the assumption that water keeps acrylics wet longer, not true like Carla says! Water makes acrylics dry faster.
