Sailor Moon was one of the first anime cartoons I started watching play second to Ronin Warriors and The Dragon Ball series, at third was Gundum Wing, and Outlaw Star, Cyborg 009, Yuyu Hokusho, and Knights of the Zodiac finish out the list. There is two more but I can't remember their names. I remember a few character names from one but not not the name of the show. These names are Iaka, Sasamie, Reoko, Kenshi, and Reaoki(I am not sure how the names are spelled so I did my best to spell how they sound, SORRY 😐).

I have to make a correction about Fact 18. In Classic Mythology, Saturn/Kronos was the deity of nature and the cicle of life and death, Chronos was the god of time and Pluto/Hades was the ruler of the underworld and lord of the treasures of the underground, but wasn´t a god of death. Similarlly, Sailor Saturn has powers of death and rebirth, whyle Sailor Pluto is the guardian of the underworld and has powers over time due to being a descendent of Chronos. Their powers do realy relate to the deities that give the name to their planets.

Sailor Moon's dubbing was a product of it's time. The dubbing industry hadn't even moved to digital dubbing yet; they were still working on TAPE which meant they had to rewind each scene by hand. The fact that they managed to make a successful localization dub in the freakin' 90's and pave the way for Slayers, Pokémon, and Dragonball to become dubbed in the states is a testament to how much work they put into it.

I know I might be late for that, but since I'm rewatching sailor moon here are some facts I gathered around recently - In the 1993 favorite episode listings for Animage this episode(24) was in 3rd place. - then you have the fact that it was originally meant to have a completely different title : "chocolate parfait together" (but no of course we go for spoilery titles :"). ) . And the opening scene was changed drastically where it opened right away with nephrite's fight with the youma kidnapping naru. - kotono mitsuishi (Usagi's voice actress) loved naru and nephrite's relationship - Katsuji Mori(nephrite's va) added that he normally didn't know about Nephrite's relationship with Naru until about three episodes beforehand. This is because he's the kind of person that has a hard time acting if he knows about plot events ahead of time. As a result, he didn't know until he was handed the script. Yet Knowing the outcome of Naru’s tragic love, Satō informed Nephrite’s voice actor Katsuji Mori in advance of what would happen. -Naru's voice actress Shino Kakinuma stated that "Nephrite is dead, and Naru's relationship with Umino is beginning to go smoothly, but I think in the end Naru can't forget about Nephrite. I imagine she'll live the rest of her life holding on to Nephrite in her heart. I'm going to try my hardest to portray Naru having this kind of depth." (Would this kinda debunk the rumour of naru losing her memory along the others by the end of season 1?) Also , by the time she recorded the death scene, she was actually crying. Like, real tears.

A number of these facts are not true though, we find out in the end who Sailor Cosmos is and also Setsuna also had a ring so it wasn't just Haruka and Michiru because the three of them were raising Hotaru. They get kidnapped or killed equally as much, at least once a season they end up being put into vulnerable positions too. People only notice when it happens to Tuxedo Mask because they usually get kidnapped in groups where as Mamo is usually taken in dramatic scenes like when it looked like he died in season 1 or Fiore took his body away after he accidentally stabbed him with his blade nails. He's basically the Green Ranger of Sailor Moon since the original 5 woman team, he's the one rogue element of the group.

Fun fact: The romanji (romanized spelling of Japanese words) letter combo 'ou' is pronounced with a long 'oh' sound and is sometimes written as ō instead. In Japanese, the 'u' letter is used in a word with an 'oh' sound to elongate the vowel, hence the romanji. (E.g. Fun fact, in the swedish dub of the show Sailor V was known as Sailor fem (fem meaning five) which of course is a reference to the roman symbol for five (V). This did confuse many people since calling her Sailor V and then revealing that her name was Sailor Venus made more sense than calling her Sailor 5, it does however fit since she was the fifth sailor scout to be revealed in the series. Sailor Saturn's element is actually earth, and her powers represent the cycle of harvesting (death) and the plant growth that follows (rebirth). The first kanji for her civilian name and the kanji for the planet Saturn are both derived from 'earth(土)'. Her weapon, though called a glaive, actually resembles a sickle, which is a tool used to reap grain and is associated with the god Saturn. The agriculture god Saturn has the Greek equivalent of Cronus, who is not the same as the entity CHRONOS, who represents time. Like the other 3 members of the Outer Senshi, Sailor Pluto channels energy from a realm - the underworld, in her case. Her Dead Scream attack is indicative of that, as it is stated to be composed of 'meikai no kaze (wind of the underworld)' according to the anime's SuperS Nakayoshi album. In the Sailor Moon universe, the Gate of Time-Space is located in a pocket dimension (called a corridor) in the underworld. Faith Mwaura As I explained, Sailor Saturn's role of being the destroyer is based on agriculture. Her destruction powers represent the act of harvesting. The title of 'Soldier of Death and Rebirth' represents the agricultural cycle, of harvesting (death) what has been planted to make room for growing more plants(rebirth). The kanji for the Silence Glaive also spell out 'chinmoku no kama', which means 'silent scythe'. The scythe is an agricultural tool that is also a symbol of death (like in Tarot cards) based on the same association with agriculture/death/rebirth. The god Pluto/Hades is NOT the god of death/killing. He is the ruler of the underworld, which is the realm Sailor Pluto draws her power from (like how Sailor Neptune draws her powers from the seas). The god of death is Thanatos(Greek)/Mors(Roman). Sailor Pluto's also associated with the gemstone garnet, which is based off the pomegranate, a symbol for the underworld.

***** I kept cringing every time he mispronounced "shoujo" despite myself. It's not that hard to learn the basic pronunciation of a word, especially if you're going to spend countless hours making a facts video on youtube. I think you can even type it and hear a computer say it near immediately online.

Now there gonna release all english dubbed episodes on June 19th, 2019. VIZ Media included season 5. I dont know where the ORIGINAL english dub is found but on hulu, its just about right.
