Dude M5 E39 has vanos issues, and M5 E60 are crazy unreliable... I dunno about 535D, but only issue there could be auomatic transmission

+rcnakki345 Well I had remapped E60 530D and now I have E39 M5 with ESS supercharger. I can confirm that 535D can't beat the fell and sound of V8 M5. Actually E39 feels much better in handling and quieter at high speeds. 535D is excellent daily driver and makes shit ton of power when remapped, while sipping little fuel.

Torque...by the way torque means nothing on the high rpm thats why the 535d keeps up on the start...as we know torque goes down somewhere in the mid to high rpm...so on high rpm its all about the horses and M5 E39 got much :D

@weed46 the turbos don't work at the same time so its not like a twin tubo.If you take the smaller turbo away it would work the same just with a lot more lag.

My 535d would be level pegging with 365 Hp and 565 ftlbs , it's the torque that makes it. Of the line the D would have been well In front !

@besttyler I know, twins are to improve engine response, but that wasn't the point that i wanted to explain. I only told that Diesels are very slow compared to similar petrol engines. And diesels are heavier as well, sich spoils the handling. Drive quickly a 330i or a 330d and there is quite a diference in handling and response and overall joy of drive

the funny part of this video is that the m5 has like 510 hp v10 and the 535d has 360 hp Straight 6. so the diesel is under powerd in HP but wins in torque! Thats why i LOVE diesel cars!

rockyrobin24 and almost 780 nm vs 530 n.m. (with headers and tune).... diesel motor is for 0-160 only.. after it losts power and s62 just wakes up after 100 km.h.
