Go and watch all the episodes from 1971. Irma Barlow is fabulous. She’s the quintessential scene stealer. From comforting Ken to Mummy and Daddy with Elsie and Alan.

Growing up in the UK I used to watch Corrie (obviously) but I never knew what Ray Langton looked like, I just associated his name as Deidre's ex husband. Now I know! I was born in 71 so he was before my time.

Irma Ogden was so relaxed and so witty. Why was she whitewashed out of the Street's history? She is still alive, and her return to the Street would boost ratings (if they still HAVE ANY ratings, that is.)
