More like a pain in the butt! Looks like it will need a full rewire now - as soon as I moved it to fit new brake pipes - nothing worked!

...my 300tdi Defender Servo cracked exactly there after just 20 years.....I was bloody lucky!

Hi Mike, my servo is KO. It’s from a Santana with a 2.5 n/a and my master cylinder is nrc8690. You say that an Disco 1 servo improves the brakes. Is any adaptation needed? Or just change the servo? Thanks for all your videos!

Just about to do my 300tdi brake booster. Can I buy the wrong disco 2 brake booster for my defender is is there only one (TRW brand presumably)

When fitting the D2 booster you have to drill the brake tower out to get the unit to fit as the 2 bolts are in a different place - pretty easy after that ( or you could use a Puma tower and servo)

Britannica Restorations Ltd Any chance you can do a short video showing us the difference. Also I saw disco three servos have 4 bolts, any chance the bolt spacing is the same?

I had a replacement servo on which I had to adjust the acorn nut. Guess which brand...🙄 I’ve seen the late Defender servos crack. You’ll have a hard pedal without the vacuum, but the real giveaway is seeing the master cylinder move with the pedal as the front of the servo flexes. Like you said, they’re very badly made - it’s a disgrace that they got away with such wilfully bad engineering on something so safety critical.
