Thanks Andy. A brief return for this week only and then back into KZbin obscurity for a while no doubt! Hope you are well?

What a miserable old day for a walk. Same all over the country yesterday. Some stunning scenic shots like the ice cream van on the beach 😄 Congrats on meeting your sponsorship goal. Well, you are currently probably walking the final leg to Filey. You've done brilliantly and I'm not surprised your feet are acheing. You should be pleased with yourself. So glad you brought us along. Best of luck for today.

Thanks Kelly. I’ve got a photo of the ice cream van too as it looked very sad and lonely on the deserted beach at Robin Hood’s Bay. I’m all finished now and resting up after the final day. Looking forward to a hearty pie for tea!
@kellyshaw72714 ай бұрын
@@AnthonyJohnson1 excellent. Enjoy the pie and you deserve a few pints to celebrate too. Why that ice cream van was there in that weather I don’t know. It looked lonely. Well done you 😊

This seemed to be one of those tough long days with lots of ups and downs, poor weather and almost non existent views. I guess it was a head down and get it sort of a day. Well done Anthony, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

It was quite a tough day of walking. Although the mist was down, fortunately it didn’t really rain until the last few miles. I think a whole day of rain would have made it a miserable experience! Still, it’s all character building I suppose!

Thanks for the update. Enjoyed the views 😂. Was that an ice cream 6:52 on the beach at Robin Hood's Bay. A bit optimistic
@AnthonyJohnson14 ай бұрын
@@steveostler just what I thought too. Amazed if he sold any yesterday, particularly when you had to trek 500 yards across the beach for one!

Anthony, I know you have listed some of your kit before from other walks, but it would be helpful to me to know what clothing you had with you - which was the Mountain Equipment jacket for instance? If you get a minute post walk - no worries if you haven’t time. Best foot forward and ever onwards. Well done.

Thanks Andy. I’ve finished and now resting up! In addition to a baselayer, I’ve alternated between an Arcteryx Atom vest and a Mountain Equipment Switch jacket. I’ve had both of them about 4 years now and they’ve been very good. Perfect for the days when it’s slightly cooler, although i’ve not always needed them as it has been quite warm on some days. I’ve also had my waterproofs with me and a synthetic jacket which I always carry with me just in case it drops really cold or I get injured. I’ve not needed that at all though

@@margaretgrant6582 thanks Margaret. Not sure I’ll ever be able to order a Scon though 😝

Pity about the views! I walked most of that section of the coastal path last November (not in one walk). There had been huge storms and rainfall in the weeks before and the path had collapsed in places. What bits you could walk on were very muddy and slippery (not the best place to slip!). But I loved it. You’re doing really well - keep going
@AnthonyJohnson14 ай бұрын
I can imagine it must be a bit of boggy mess on those paths after bad rain. Escaped cows were the biggest hazard this time!

@@bilbobaggins7340 thanks very much. I’m not sure what’s next trail wise. Will probably be in 2025 now. I do like the look of the Offa’s Dyke trail

Pity about the weather, hope today has been better - it’s blue skies, sunshine n very windy in Derbyshire .

The weather was lovely during the walk today, although it’s clouded over again this afternoon. It’s certainly been a mixed bag of weather this last week, although it’s been quite warm despite the showers at times

Hi Anthony, that was a tough day with virtually no views, cows on the path then into Scarborough and it gets worse, Hayburn Wyke is a nice spot, Dont think Scarborough tourist board will be using your footage LOL, cheers nigel
@AnthonyJohnson14 ай бұрын
Seeing a blanket of white all day certainly isn’t ideal when you’re covering so many miles. The foggy woodland made up for it though as it was lovely walking through them. Yes, I’ve not had any requests yet from Scarborough tourist board for my footage 😂
