109wpm on a Razer Black Widow Ultimate keyboard

Typing out a thank-you message to my brother after he sent me this fantastic keyboard! I definitely can't type this fast with finger splints on, it slows me down to about 89wpm.
Those aren't typos I'm making when I hit the Delete key, I just couldn't remember the name of the video game, "Typing of the Dead." ^_^

Ooh, I never think of those things! If I were going to speed it up I'd bump it up to 132wpm, that's the fastest typing I've ever seen. This is 109wpm at 100% accuracy net, I adjusted down from 112 at 99%.

What is helpful about this board? I've had luck with the Kinesis Ergo Advantage. It takes some getting used to, but you don't have to move your wrists ever when typing and all the keys are an easy reach. Nice keyboard! I don't necessarily find not moving one's wrists to be a good thing, unless breaks are taken at regular intervals to stretch and rest diligently. I vote for any keyboard that works without pain, and for good behavioural awareness of one's habits. It seems that, no matter how the hand is positioned, it is always the flexors doing the work, and the extensors become weakened. I didn't get this keyboard for its ergonomic qualities, it was a gift. But I like mechanical keyboards. The keys are highly responsive and easy to press. There are macro keys I can program for specific tasks, too.
