@@Avatar-Destiny I’d like to think it’s Life’s way of comforting a broken heart that could never be put back together since matters of life & death are never negotiable...but, I’d also like to think that love, in all it’s forms, has a way of living on no matter what Life decides, Destiny.

@@Avatar-Destiny It’s just a thought, Destiny. I don’t think (nor could I EVER imagine, let alone experience) the amount of loss and the pain this father must’ve suffered to take the actions he did. To donate his own baby’s heart to save the life of another, a total random stranger, literally meant making the decision to terminate his own daughter’s medically supported life (existing only in her body)...and on his daughter’s behalf, gift her bodily organs that has the capacity to breath life into someone else’s, hopefully carrying along his daughter’s spirit with it. I can NOT think of a stronger and a more loving father...doing the most with the little he was left with. Bitter sweet is most definitely an understatement.

Peyton Tooze! When boys grow up and become a man, most of them were raised not to cry. To me that is so wrong. When strong emotions get a hold of them, I see nothing wrong for man to shed some tears. The were taught that it is unmanly to cry. Tears show there real feelings. So guys, go a head and cry when that emotion hit you. There is nothing wrong and it does not make you less of a man.

I have two sons and we've been living alone together for almost 3 years now since their mother left us. We've been through a lot together and they've seen how hard I struggled to keep them in the house they were born in. I didn't think it was possible for us to get any closer but somehow that's exactly what has happened and they've both given me words of support that have brought on the tears. Some of us were just meant to be dads :)

The first clip does a great job of showing one of the plights of being a dad, you get so locked into your role of ''provider'' that you always forgo yourself to provide more for those around you(i call it *the burnt hotdog effect* you buy your family hotdogs, but you only eat the ones that the kids drop into the fire) this selflessness makes people view you as a stoic and humble man that is content, and you are.....but deep down you really do want someone to get you those light-up sneakers because your long years of being a dad has rendered you unable to buy such a ''silly'' thing, thats $40 less savings for the kids.

Sad that the kids were staring at a screen when the man was seeing his parents after 12 years apart. Seems that we don’t know how to live in the moment anymore. If not staring at a screen oblivious to what’s going on around us, let’s enjoy the precious moments in life..by recording it on our phones. Ugh! We record everything. Just enjoy the moment..

I guess I don't get how the adoption process works. Does a child apply for adoption on behalf of the parent? Why is it such a surprise? Honestly don't understand... both parties should be aware...
@JDM129833 жыл бұрын
Well, the "adult adoption" ones are applied for by the "children" I am sure - sense they are adults and I don't think they can be really "adopted" then; but they basically do it as a way to say "you are the one that raised me all this time - YOU are my parent". It's more of a gesture thing and shows how much you love/care about the parent that raised you even if they aren't the one that gave birth to you.
