I am retired military and I am no where near well off but I make enough and I am pretty low key though. Not a real "people person" to be honest but I don't let that get in the way of doing good works on behalf of the Lord and my fellow humans as well. When I see a panhandler if I am in a hurry I will drop them at least $10 or half of what I got if I have less on me in cash. If I see them near a super market I ask them if they need anything. They usually say just a few green backs. I say I got that too, what can I get you. I don't get carried away going on a shopping spree and shit like that but I will hook them up with food, a pack of smokes, etc and a wad of cash. People say this and that about what they will and won't do with the money. Well it is none of my business or yours what they do with the money period. Its a "gift" and once it leaves my hand into theirs its up to them what they do with it whether it is drugs, booze or a burrito with a pepsi. Its none of my business period. It is like if your employer cuts you your paycheck and him saying this and that on "responsible use and spending of said monies" and if you do not listen he will withhold your pay check. F that and f him you know. Who does he think he is. See what I mean here. Same as you or I when we drop a donation on someone. Give them some money and a smile and go about your business. People just don't understand the purpose and point of a "gift" these days and what makes it so special as to how it makes one feel after you give it without a thought afterwords of the why's and how's. People are really missing out once they leave all that bs alone and just give because it feels so dang good when you do it for no reason in particular. It isn't all about you if your doing it for the right reasons. Also I always try chat for a bit if I have some time. In these instances I usually have to share people's walking by distain as well from them even though I am clearly not homeless by just the way I dress alone. F them I say to myself. Anyway that chat too is nice for both of us because I have had some of the most stimulating conversations with the homeless at times. Also just how humble and truly grateful some of them really are for both the blessing gift and chat that just takes a mere few minutes of my lifetime to share with them. Its the act but that is just me though Eric and you seem to get it too. P.s. it always made me sad and a little angry too at times that people will walk indifferently by someone that could just use a few bucks (sometimes even change) on their way to spend near $20 on a "single" cup of iced super double shot mocha with lactose free skim milk then just give a dollar or two to someone that could use it for no matter what the reason. I could only imagine what it must feel like to be there. The utter shame and desperation to have to sit there all day with the looks and comments under people breaths. I personally couldn't do it yet I have never been in that situation, have you? You never know someones situation until you "know" someones situation. Just saying.

Now just what if this woman was married to a ball player making millions then he becomes injured and loses everything, he then leaves her in a rented expensive tower apartment. She then is forced to leave but cannot get normal assistance because of their former income status. All she has is a car she owns outright so she desperately resorts to ask for help in an attempt to get enough money to rent a regular apartment and try to recover. There are 9 million ways to sunday of scenarios that can defend what she is doing, so I would not jump to conclusions based on appearances.

No! I work with the homeless in my city. Not all homeless people were always that way. Some fell on hard times. If this lady wanted to be conclusive in her findings she would have followed her home to know where she was REALLY living. Who knows... But either way...at least she was not stealing. She asked and people gave. It’s not a crime to ask. But I feel sad just thinking about if this woman had accused her wrongly. We can’t possibly know if they had a real need. Would it have been better if the woman was driving a Toyota? Who is to say the vehicle even belongs to THEM? We can’t know can we. This world is in need of the savior.

That's TRUE....However these people are not broke. They are part of a far reaching international crime syndicate based in Eastern Europe, This syndicate uses it's women and children to beg in the tourist capitals of Western Europe. Business was bad during Covid and people are not as generous as they once were in Paris or Barcelona. The Western and Southern US is their new frontier. Using children to beg is UN AMERICAN. It is pure and simple EXPLOITATION. We passed child labor laws almost a century ago now. This was to raise people out of the darkness of ignorance and poverty. This is not "culture" it is simple exploitation.

I'm a college student who works at Walmart neighborhood market. I was called up to help the cashier's. I get on the cash register and check a few people out. A lady comes to my line and is unable to pay for most of her items. She pays for like three or so things and leaves the cart there and tells me some of them she just can't afford. so I have a full cart and a few other items (lotion and such). she goes back to shopping.. a lady comes through my line and asks if the cart of things belongs to the woman before her. I said yes (keep in mind the lady who left the cart is in a get around cart). she pays for her own things and ends up paying for the whole cart that the previous lady left. before she walks off I ask her if she knows that lady and she says "no, I just want to help out". that woman in the get around scooter comes back up with more stuff and buys it and I tell her that someone paid for her other things and she says "oh I know...I know her ..she's my sister) I thought to myself...that's odd she said she didn't know you. well the man behind her buys the other few items (lotion she left) for her. he was an active military soldier. She leaves in a really nice new car (I'm not a car person and it was dark) they pull up to the door and she got up and got in the nice new car. My fellow associate walks over and tells me that the lady does that almost every day. These people are everywhere.
