They claim it as "an error" but imo people were just complaining too much. I thought it was a bit excessive too but they could've just grouped the attack buff cut in when it happens and defense buff cut in when they happen. I didn't really care either way.

All they had to do was remove the counterattack cut in since as it already had one. Now they removed every new cut in even the good ones

I kind of hate that they took away the icons for guard and dodge. I know they show up on the character pictures on the bottom but it doesn’t always guarantee a guard or dodge. With 5.25.0 the cut ins would tell you whenever these abilities would proc, they should have tweaked the cut ins or just kept the icons when you were attacked/attacking instead of just revoking everything.

I wish they kept the cut in for characters who have chances to guard/dodge Knowing that is much better so you don’t have the guess if it procs At least guard/counter attack I think is the most valuable to know out of all the potential abilities

The chances to guard is still there and it's even better because you can check it before your characters even attack when you tap on "Next Up"

@ oh I know you can check if a character guards, im talking about units who only have a CHANCE to guard Aka 30%, 50%, 70% These chances only will activate sometimes and with no visual aid, the player has no idea if the guard procs or not. Therefore it’s a “surprise” similar to a Dodge chance. I think dodging works better as a surprise, whereas guard should be 100% shown in the case the chance procs

@Lurkai yes that's what I am talking about as well. If a chance to guard character is guarding the guard symbol will pop up when you check your characters. Toon has mentioned it in a few videos too. It's a symbol with arms crossed next to a circle with the five colors. Toon called it the Wakanda Pose with the Infinity Stones last video lol.

@@StarNameKev so I just tested this in-game with the “chance to dodge”(basically same premise) The dodge icon for my Teq Skinny Buu was present on the rotation icons HOWEVER when I started the attacks he still got hit Ultimately meaning the icons do not indicate a guaranteed Dodge/Guard/Additinal/Crit etc. in the case of chances Edit** Now this could go deeper in terms of only showcasing the passive abilities but not showing indication for hidden potential. Which makes sense somewhat as it’s “hidden” ..but ultimately even before Dokkan 2 the player never knew which dodges/crits came from passive vs additional. Typically the logic is the passive procs first THEN the hidden potential, but I’m not sure if this is ever showcased literally in data-form or by any KZbinr
