This guy has a serious Canadian accent and I’m not sure he knows it. As a Canadian the “Fuck sakkees” at 3:32 was truly spot on canadianese

I don't work on Hondas...or cars at all, but watching your videos, I'm like 60% sure I could replace a CVT on an accord.

I bet they will void your CVT warranty if you don’t change the CVT fluids as recommended. They will claim It’s the owner’s fault.

@@NathanielCasas-t9l Follow the CVT maintenance schedule. CVT Fluid must be changed regularly. Unfortunately it's the new norm for vehicles. All Toyota, Nissan, Honda,... are using CVTs. 😞

@@frankm7707 yeah my civic has 21,500 miles and I’ve already done two drain and fills on it and I’m gunna do it again at 30,000 but I’m also gunna change the filter in the pan and the cartridge filter behind the cvt warmer

@@NathanielCasas-t9l for the love of my car. I changed the cvt fluid right at 15.000, with the filter element (ofc).

Hello TE, a question almost outta no where. Rattle noise in accord 2014 4cyl, might be the tensioner. While doing it, we gotta rotate the engine counter clock a little to compress the tensioner. Though, should we rotate the engine back to its original position after putting the new one as it was before? Is it a good thing to rotate the engine clockwise a couple of times to make sure tensioner is good and wouldnt jump timing on first start up? thanks
@TEVIDEOSКүн бұрын
Rotate the crank back until tensioner compresses, insert a tack or something similar into the tensioner whole to lock it, then turn the crank back to tdc. Then you can replace 👌
@TEVIDEOSКүн бұрын
You can turn it over once or twice once installed to make sure it's on time but don't turn it over too many times since the tensioner uses oil pressure to assist. With no oil pressure you could cause it to slip by turning it over too many times. Ones will be fine
@idoeverythaangКүн бұрын
@@TEVIDEOSI will be just replacing the tensioner, woulnt have access to the marks on the vtc and exhaust gear to confirm tdc. Any suggestions there?

How do you know how to put the steering column back in the right place ?like to not throw the steering off
@TEVIDEOS3 күн бұрын
I try not to move the rack after disconnecting the column but sometimes it happens. I just eye ball the front with the wheels in before re connecting the column. I can get it spot on probably 50% of the time 😅👌 Other 50% I am off a spline or 2 and just pull the column back off on the alignment machine and slide it over that spline or 2 👌
