No matter how alone you may feel, God is with you. God experienced feelings of loneliness and abandonment when Christ's disciples fled and left Him alone to die on the cross. Jesus knows what you are feeling and He loves you because He also knows what it is to be alone. But even in His suffering, He wasn't alone. The Father was there with him, just like He is with you. It can be hard to remember that, but do your best not to lose sight of it. I'll say a prayer for you. We're all brothers and sisters in Christ and everyone is welcome at His table.

Hey Keith I was always taught it was The Virgin Mary, but you are right. If it is her offspring it can only be Jesus since he was the only child she had. Either way it’s the holy family. Our suffering is small compared to God’s glory. I like that, you taught me something else. I do notice that since i have devoted myself to my faith.,I’m not afraid to speak up about the Lord. Hi Keith, hey, appreciate you making the points about conflict and respect your knowledge on the subject. It is nice to hear about them although most of them I have never heard of. One way to shorten Unpacking the Mass would be to make your point on a conflict and then move on instead of spending 5 or 10 minutes on it. You typically make a really good point in just the first minute and a very good argument, just stop there and go

Re the liturgical calendar: Do not worry about understanding it. It just is. I was on my parishes liturgy committee for a few years and took several lit courses. Most people I know just buy one of those color coded liturgical calendars, and go with it. I call it one of the churches mysteries. 😊

You should buy her the book: Seeking Allah finding Jesus by Nabeel Qureshi. He was a Muslim but after 4 years of trying to prove the Bible wrong he converted to the Christian faith. Remember to ask them if the world is flat in the quran. Book of revelations talk about the 4 corners of the earth as a North, south, east and west mention not a flat sheet of paper. Good way to get the discussion on Book of truth rolling if you wish.

Keith I can understand because you were not in a liturgical tradition, it can be hard to understand I am the norvus ordo Catholic. I have two calendars one for Norvus Ordo and one for the traditional calendar because it was all the saints, I appreciate you doing the readings that you do thank you very much 🙏. PS I think the readings of ordinary time can be confusing is because of the shifting days of Easter, some days are fixed in our calendar like Christmas but because of Easter which is the queen of all feast in the Church they made the Sundays of ordinary time flexible so they can expand the readings have more readings of the Bible in the lectionary and accommodate some flexibility for seasons and situations around the world. Thank you, best explanation of the unforgivable sin that I have heard. What do you think of about this direction for blaspheming against the Holy Spirit: the Pharisees said Jesus was blaspheming when He said he was divine (because they thought He was not), so likewise, is saying that you are speaking from the Holy Spirit, when you KNOW you are not, in other words, lying and trying to deceive others that "the Spirit said this to me" just to accomplish your own goals (collecting donations maybe?) Could that also be blasphemy against the Spirit? (Or am I just irritated with prosperity preachers?) Thanks, always enjoy and benefit from your talks!!
