Epic Mountain Dew find Eric. Lol.. I should have seen that coming.... But you got me.
@rhshoe69295 жыл бұрын
Hi Eric, years ago, we had a neighbor farm that had a mother, father, two sons and a daughter. We both had all the equipment we needed but sometimes we would help each other out to get things done quicker. About 35 years ago the father died from prostate cancer. It was a very sad time but we helped the boys out to get things done. The oldest son climbed up the silo to move the auto unloaded but on his way back down, he slipped and fell 70’ and was killed. 10 years later, the same thing happened to the younger son. The mother wanted to keep the farm running for her grandsons to work when they got older. One thing she had installed was a safety harness. The harness can help keep anyone safe from falling down the outside of the silo like her sons did. After watching your videos and feeling very close to you and would hate to see anything bad happen to you or your dad. It would sure make me feel better to see a safety harness installed on all your silos. Sorry for the bad spelling. Bob

@jeffreykreft54425 жыл бұрын
Man it looked cold then, wont be long and we will be back in the freezer. The friction disk on that piece of equipment is a torque limiter, it should be set to slip if there is a jam preventing damage to the machinery, but of course you already know that, but just had to throw that in because I have worked on so many of these. Love all the videos, going through and watching all of them, really enjoy, thanks for making them. You have an awesome father, he really knows allot, and you 2 look like you work great together.

I am from New Zealand, where cow dairying is much easier, because of its temperate climate. I did not realise how laborious the dairy industry is in Nord America. I am not a farmer, but I am sure enjoying your videos and find it very instructive. Eric(? ) Has carisma and gift for entertaining people. Cheers from green New Zealand!

Hello ! Eric , We lived on a farm not quit as big as yours . We get done doing our choirs three times a day . Plus check our water containers everyday and it’s a hassle to clean out ice so we invested new warmer heater to everyone and it works. We help our neighbors on milk farm and we get around four jugs of fresh cows milk and heifers that they don’t want plus pigs for us helping them . Don’t miss the cold weather and freezing rain . They uses round nails of hay or stray we grind our feed . Plus sort out pregnant cows . We all pull together and help one another . They need meat we butcher our own meat had inspector to come and check meat out . But working on equipment we take to shop or they come to our place to be worked on. You guys have work shop which is real nice to have ours is a little garage not enough room to work . You all keep up the good work and video’s need to put more milk product into video’s more. I know it’s hard your use to drinking pop . Your not the only own bad on drinking pop instead of milk we stand by you on that . Just a response with hands up don’t have to write letter your busy working taking care of your family . Take care I enjoy your video’s very much.

Hey I've had this question for awhile and I was just wondering why dont you guys invest in a closed cab skid loader? Edit and how often do you guys run into mastitis?
@10thgenerationdairyman5 жыл бұрын
We are always dealing with a case or two of mastitis. An enclosed cab would be nice but I wouldn't really consider it an investment because it doesn't pay us anything back other than comfort. I bet it wouldn't take us long to break the front door off either
