Suite-mate? 1995-2000: E4 and below had 4 people with bunk beds in that setup. There was a mini-fridge in each side. The windows were casement windows with no screens, and the HVAC was not controllable by the room. When the heat was on, you'd have to keep the window open to keep it below 80 in the room. Woke up to snow blowing in multiple times. I'm glad they've made improvements, and they are great improvements. It's also amazing compared to the Old Post barracks. But compared to other installations, there are lightyears to go. Not ragging on Single Soldier Housing, but you can see why soldiers are getting married as soon as they can to get out of the B's.

We didn’t have a community kitchen. The day room was empty. We had wall lockers in the “bedroom storage”. We had bunk beds with 4 guys in a “bedroom and then 4 dressers 1 at the foot of each bed and 2 by the window heater. The place was literally like a jail cell. Complete with heavy metal slamming door. The a joining bathroom was great at 0730 getting ready for work call. We had females in the room next to us and they would lock our bathroom door when they were in there and then forget to unlock it and we couldn’t get in to get ready.

Is it possible to install lids on the toilet seat? Is there a fan in the bathroom ceiling?
