Tell me about it! They were a lot colder in Wellington where I grew up - with wind chill too. Can’t imagine living aomewheee where it is that extreme though. You must have to pile on the layers in winter!! 😊

I think that this is the best 10 x 10 wardrobes I've seen (and I've seen a few). I envy your mild weather though. It's 8 degrees here today in regional Victoria. I'd be adding a touch of red to my outfit. Our winters here can be very dreary and grey. A pop of colour is a good psychological pick-me-up.

Lovely as always, Jamie. Such timeless outfits. My favourite is of course the one with the striped shirt - there's something magical and playful and lovely in a good stripe, isn't there? I can't believe you manage to wear your extensive knitwear collection and all your gorgeous coats in such mild temperatures. 🙈😂 I know it's what we're used to. When I first came to Canada, I wondered, why does a winter coat cost as much as a monthly rent. And now I know. I have absolutely no excuse for having fewer knitwear pieces and coats than you. 😉😈 Your coat is so beautiful. Thank you for the inspiration. Always.🤗 Big hugs ❤🍁❤

I think a huge part of it is also that it's *very* draughty in our house and so I tend to find myself needing knitwear to keep warm during the day (especially if I'm chained to my desk!). This winter has been SO mild I've actually not even needed to wear a coat for most of it (a light jacket suffices), which has been so unusual. Last week on Thursday I met up with my mothers group and it was SO hot; 22 deg C and in the sun I felt like I'd be getting a bit of a tan! Absolutely nuts. I can appreciate the price of coats in Canada - I'd be wanting to wrap myself up in the coat equivalent of a duvet with how cold your winters get! x

Perfect choices! I love every single outfit but especially the dress with the coat over 😍. Individually each piece seems fairly basic but there's a kind of alchemy at work that makes them shine when you bring them together, if that makes sense!

Haha with winters like this I would never be able to wear cozy knits as I would melt away. Your winters are our spring/summer over here in Germany. But I guess when you are used to 40+ C most of the times anything under 20 C must feel so cold. I on the other hand start going outside in shorts and T-Shirts at 17+ C lol.
@mademoisellejaime4 жыл бұрын
Haha funny how you acclimatise as our summers in Wellington where I grew up were usually anywhere from 17-24 deg C. That said, because it's winter there is a cold bite in the air and it's not warm in the shade at all! Our house is pretty draughty so whenever I'm planning out winter capsules (even if just to show examples) I usually do it with that in mind :) Hope you're staying safe x

In 14 degrees I could never wear all the cashmere and turtle necks. Actually not even in our weather which can down to 2-3 degrees. I would feel suffocated. But they are George our for someone who feels the cold
@mademoisellejaime4 жыл бұрын
I definitely am someone who feels the cold! Today was 14 deg and I was wearing a t-shirt, a winter knit, a jacket and I still felt cold outdoors ( mind you, I was sat in the shade which I think makes a difference). That said, I hope you still enjoyed this one! Stay safe and have a great weekend ahead x

If Sydney has a winter where temperatures aren't that low, I would be too hot with only one light top and the rest being knitwear.
@mademoisellejaime4 жыл бұрын
I've probably acclimatised, but I do also find our house is quite draughty so I tend to find myself in a chunky knit most days. I'll layer a t-shirt underneath though in case I get warm - which usually only happens if I've done a long walk up/down hills. I joke with my husband that I'm cold blooded like a lizard haha!!! :)
