This video shows a beautiful two- story cottage house design with a classic blue color. Built on 32ft x 32ft of land, the house offers plenty of space for comfort and relaxation. The first floor features a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a living room, a kitchen, a dining room and a laundry room. The second floor consists of two bedrooms and another bathroom. This cottage house is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy some peace and tranquility surrounded by nature.

Now that I’m hooked on these smaller home videos, I’ve got my look-fors: a place for coats/boots near the front entrance, a dishwasher, and an en-suite for the master bedroom. My next most important thing is plenty of windows!

By far the nicest home I have seen on KZbin. The floor plan addresses all of the needs of a small family. The aesthetic is perfect. I love the contained room concept. I have lived in an open floor plan home pretty much my entire life and have really always hated it. Especially not having the kitchen open to the living room. If I haven't done my dishes yet today and a guest drops in unannounced, I have to worry about them seeing my dishes which no matter how clean your house it, having dirty dishes just makes people think you are a slob. This is so lovely. Good job.

One of my favorites! So much storage! and nice to see linen storage in the bathrooms. Loved the kitchen, so big you could put a table in it and eat. Only thing I did not care for was the front door walking right into the living room. But an amazing plan!

One of the best floor plan I've seen... I always enjor your plans, Jasper, and this one is top knotch! I love the kitchen! May drawers and cabinets and a walk-in pantry! Nice idea! Something I would change is the Master's bath. I can make it even bigger by having only a powder room with toilet for guest.... and add the extra space to the master bath with a tuck-away toilet! And maybe, instead of the door parallel to the headboard/head of the bed, make it so it's toward the end of the bed/foot instead.

The only thing I would change is the second full bath on the main floor. If the primary has its own bath, you only need a 1/2 bath for the guest. That would provide the space for 2 sinks and a larger shower in the primary. Other than that - it’s perfect.

Respectfully, this one needs a some re-work at the bottom of the stairs. The bottom landing should open to the kitchen or laundry room as well as to the hallway. Consider these scenarios: It's laundry day. As designed now someone must carry the dirty laundry from upstairs down the stairs, down a long hallway, through a corner of the living room, through the dining room, through the kitchen and then to the laundry room. There are guests over for dinner. After dinner the kids go to their rooms and the adults watch a movie in the living room. A kid gets hungry and just wants to slip down to the kitchen in their pajamas for a snack without tramping through the adult's party. A fire breaks out in the living room (God forbid, but it does happen). The kids run down the stairs but can't get to the front door. They can run into the parents' room and out the window, but it would be better/faster/safer if they could just get out the back door.

The only change I would make it to move those cabinets from the wall that connects the kitchen and dining room and move them to the wall leading into the laundry area and then make a half wall from the dining to the kitchen for a more open concept with possible bar stools in the dining area.

I watched this video agsin 3 months later. If anyhing i like it better the second time around. It is totally charming and one of the most livable small houses out there. This one would live larger than its footprint. Then again, if extra space were needed it could be added very simply indeed. Looking at it, i would be tempted to eliminate the second bath downstairs. Rearrange the en suite so it could function as a downstairs wc. Expand the sutting room which would allow space for a proper vestibule at the front door. That way, in both hot and cold climates, the outside temperature stays outside rather than blowing through the whole house every time the door is open.
