This book was a great resource for ideas, practical advice kzbin.infoUgkx-b91_bYU48sOwHX-XC49tRRXRxcnOmZm and pro tips I purchased the plans for the 10'x16' colonial and used them for the basics and made my own modifications. I built my shed for storage and lawn equipment, but decided to sheath and side it in case I ever wanted to add insulation and turn it into a shop or bunkhouse. I poured over this book all winter while I planned and found it to be the all-around best shed book out there.

I won't be able to pull it off in the next couple years but I swear to myself and have for years now that one day , one day I will build my vision of to me what would be my perfect two story shed house, hoping when it happens to have the funds to by a size of roughly 14-16' wide by 28-34' long and have a 4 sided barn style full height second story which I'm pretty sure I could fit a humble bedroom with a decent size walk In closet and queen size bed and still have the room prob to build a very small office/library that also had like a fold down comfortable cot style wall mounted guest bed, and as many windows and storage areas as possible because what I would imagine the hardest part of living in a shed house would likely be insufficient storage for belongings , clothes , and random stuff

Really didn’t break down what each area cost. But I’d guess 1000 on bathroom. Water heater electric just enough to take about 5 minute shower. The solar has been upgraded but does not operate entire unit. Just lights and chargers. I sleep in adjacent RV so bedroom wasn’t necessary for my use.

I could be wrong but it looks like 100w panel. They install DIY. Just research typical RV or solar projects and you’ll find lots of diagrams. You start by making a list of all the things you want to run. Then their amps and watts. And then pick your system based on that and how long you want it to run.

@blairbushproject5 жыл бұрын
Volkswagenplanet it’s probably enough for his TV and occasional use of micro. It’s 12v I run a cabin with 1200w and eight batteries at 24v. It depends on what you calculate for your dream usage.
@Volkswagenplanet5 жыл бұрын
@@blairbushproject always thought about doing it. I live in Fl. Can't get much better than that for sun. I would run a/c, tv, and the norm. Thanks for commenting.
@blairbushproject5 жыл бұрын
Volkswagenplanet well AC and appliances you have to start at 48v study resources. You would need panels plural. And probably the sizing would depend on your sun calculations hours per day and amps per hour. And mounting angles. How much sun would they have access to. So you would either be grid tied. Which would mean you would use any electricity you wanted. But your panels would feed back into the grid with island protection of course haha. But one panel is probably a TV for a few hours like he has. Probably the occasional microwave. Maybe his laptop phone. If his battery is lithium.

Lovely. ..but being a woman who loves to cook I would have to have a stove. .so I think I would put one in on the right side of the bathroom and maybe put some cabinets in above and around the corner. ..I'm guessing that's a fridge and microwave on the other side. I couldn't tell it was to dark and you didn't spend much time showing us. .matter of fact you spent to much time on showing us the bathroom and not enough of the rest of the house. ..but that's ok..not trying to be mean. ..☺.. Did I spot a love seat? Does it convert into a bed? I did briefly see a tv mounted on wall. ..and also the dish outside. ...I'm gathering from your sign outside your front door that this is probably just a weekend fishing cabin. ..but with the right adjustments one person could live comfortable there. .throw up some more solar. .maybe some on roof ..how tall is the inside floor to ceiling? .. Is there room for a small loft for sleeping. ..I love fireplaces so I would put in a very small wall mounted wood burning stove. .. All in all. .perfect little man cave on the lake. ...
