That big 2 quart filter is a royal pain, I thought I wanted one on mine but I changed it back to spin on early this year.

That is a spin on type that holds 2 quarts. But I decided against it cause I might be changing to a lower capacity pan that would sit higher up off the ground than the one that I have now.

Is that a closed or open chamber engine?

Peanut port. It’s a simple 454 with a little hydraulic flat tapper camshaft.
