This could easily come across as propriety teaching, I don't think it is but when I look back on the early church and see they were ALL martyred then I know that Jesus NEVER said it would be easy. In this world you WILL have trouble, persecution, and times when you could find yourself facing death, and we are called to be salt and light even in the hell of the world. It's not about circumstances it's about trusting God even when you have NO resources, NO money, NO family, NO hope. THEN is when Holy spirit of God shows up and brings peace and joy this world will never understand, and can never take away. God IS the prize, and His grace is sufficient, just as when Paul asked God to heal the thorn in his side (persecution and pain) and he was never healed. I agree God WILL finish the good work HE began in us. AND He will never leave us nor forsake us. No one has a method or way that works for anyone else and God is NOT expecting anything from you but to believe He is who He says...

I think you all should know that Graham Cooke said in a meeting I attended that Christians shouldn't read the bible because they only need the Holy Spirit, and everyone in the audience said AMEN. I was so shocked I left the church and never went back.
