Just starred listening to Graham Cooke. He is a true man of God. How beautifully he speaks of our Heavenly Father and the love of Jesus our Savior. Thanks to Bethel for having him speak. Bethel you are wonderful and so is Bill Johnson. @@friendofcanada6725 Yes, but does the next verse say "They created mankind in their own image," or God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them? In the OT you find nothing but singular, "I alone am thy Savior," "There is no God beside me, I know not any," and on and on with singularity. The Jews would have flipped in Acts 2 if a 2nd and 3rd person in the Godhead were introduced. Anyway, that aside I LOVE and appreciate G.C.--coming from a legalistic pentecostal background that was killing me, his insights not only (I don't know how to word this...saved me from a lot of anguish? encouraged me tremendously? taught me much truth about the love of God I didn't know but should have?). I deeply appreciate Graham; just wish he'd not sound so far from the scripture in that regard. But, as Jane Allred says below, glean...and let the other stuff fall away. I do appreciate your comment, BTW.

@@Alwizcaliteach Trisha, I came from that same legalistic Old Time Pentecostal background also. I was even trained as a pastor in that doctrine which also is not only legalistic, outward Holiness oriented but also male dominated mind set that dictated over women and minimized the Feminine aspect of the Godhead. In the original Hebrew God in those verses is plural and is correctly translated "They created us in Their image, Male AND Female! So clearly our Creator has male and female aspects within the nature of the Godhead or we would have just been created as male and male, which is truly heretical! Otherwise where does the feminine aspect in all creation come from?
