I live in central N.Y. directly east of Lake Ontario, this is the snowiest city in the US and it’s common to get 115” of snow per year thanks to the lake effect snow we get, people don’t understand driving a 4x4 type vehicle isn’t gonna save their ass on snow covered and icy roads, streets, highways whatever it doesn’t matter.......when we get snow storms here it’s the stupid asses in the 4x4 trucks and SUVS you find in the ditch first!

Hmmm, some vehicles seem to be doing quite well, while others struggle, even fail to make any headway at all. Let us get a government grant to do a study on what differentiates the two. Perhaps there's an anomaly at play that supercedes the desire of the afflicted motorist. Maybe then we can regulate it or have it legislated out of existence. 🤔

My regular gas engine car's mileage decreases in the winter substantially due to a lot of idling to warm it up and inefficient cold engine when doing short drives. You plan for that. Same with electric cars.

Rocky Bettas no, I won’t help. In Colorado, most of you don’t believe in Winter Tires. In fact, I’ve noticed that most of you have the assumption that “All Seasons” are “good for snow traction” even though All Seasons are on every car, and are Summer Tires. They are the tires we switch from to Winter Tires. If you live in a city where there is often snow in winter, and you don’t get Winter Tires, I will not help you unless it’s in the negatives, or if you’ve had a terrible accident or plowed straight into the ditch at a high speed. If you’re stuck on the roads because of your own idiocy, I will not help you, I will pass you. I have a front wheel drive ford sedan, and I put winter tires on it. I have never been stuck. Ever. I pass trucks. The one time payment of 200$ can save your life, lower your insurance, and help prolong the life of your car, but most importantly, prevent you from killing yourself or others. If you don’t get winter tires in winter, I’m not taking time out of my day to help someone who doesn’t use their brain, and I fully recommend your drivers license be revoked for putting everyone and yourself in danger.

Bookem I’d be pissed that I didn’t think about getting Winter Tires and I put everyone in danger because of my stupidity if I got stuck. And don’t act like most of these people have Winter Tires, because statistically Coloradans do not believe in Winter Tires and most think All Seasons (AKA Summer Tires since there’s no such thing anymore as only Summer Tires) are Snow Tires because they have a snowflake on them. That’s not how that works, and that’s why you see all these people stuck. I have a front wheel drive Ford with Bridgestone Blizzaks (as well as on my AWD Volvo XC90) and I have never been stuck in the Ford or Volvo. I’ve regularly driven in snow deeper than this with my Ford Taurus, and I have no issues because I paid one time for winter tires. Edit: Take this from an ALASKAN who spent years in Colorado. So you can’t use the “yea well Colorado is different from Alaska and the weather here is unpredictable” because I have experience in both places, and Winter Tire season in Colorado is Late October to Mid April.
