Is that mower/ cutting blade made for brush or grass? Id imagine if it's for grass it would get dull quickly cutting brush.

Yeah most those rotary cutters have a spec for cutting up to 2" saplings. I've taken 3" down and thats probably not the best but it does it and works awesome. Now if it was a finishing mower, yeah that's another story and wouldn't want to use something like that.

Actually, the more I think on it, this is probably why different regions call the same thing different names. Back home where we had almost all grass and very few trees or brush, these were called rotary mowers. Down here, most people call them shredders, probably because that's mostly what they use them for like me. Then I also hear the name bush hog, rotary cutter, and brush hog thrown around too but one of those is just a name brand. But when I was first looking at buying people and manufacturers call them different things, its not like there is an industry naming standard. I found that interesting
