Good morning Michelle, the weather forecast looks very promising for rain in our area. We had 4 mls rain with very light hail which cooled us off wonderfully. The rain and hail did not fall for long, just enough to help us cope with the tremendous heat. Trusting for more rain to come, it would be wonderful for all. Looking quite cool and fresh on screen, have a lovely day.

Totally agree re Mocsmbique Cyclones/Storms always bring about hot and dry weather in Gauteng. or at best below average rainfall. Today’s isolated storms brought less than 3mm in Johannesburg due to the upper level high. This year must be a record for longevity of the heatwave apart from record temperatures but no comment from SA Weather Service.

I saw a prediction of CHIDO where it hits Zimbabwe them moves down to Gauteng. I hope that changes.

Some models are showing the possibility of impacts over north-easter SA, but it's really too far away to say for sure... Keep an eye out for our updates!

I think you got the weather for Oudtshoorn wrong. It will definatly not be 24 tomorrow but certainly 34 or more likely 38. Been over 41 today and yesterday.
