The Regulator is my home course, it’s both incredibly fun and challenging at the same time. It’s also open to the public full time and free to play! There are 3 courses at the park too, so I would definitely make the trip to Burlington if you can to play each course.

And while you're in the area be sure to make some other stops at Justin Trails Disc Golf Resort in Sparta WI, Standing Rocks DCG in Stevens Point WI, and Sandy Point DGC in Lac Du Flambeau WI. Most of these courses are within a 3 hours drive (some even less) from Blue Ribbon Pines. BRP is so much fun to play, it's even open all winter long with plowed fairways.

@wildrunsdiscgolf mountain course, on site Christmas tree farm, by far the most unique and picturesque putting greens on any course I've ever seen. Earlier this year, went to North Cove, which is great and through Asheville>smokies>back up through to Idlewild, played 9 different 4.5* or above courses. Drove back 8 hrs again in october and stayed near NoCove.. we skipped it and played Sugaree twice instead.
@MomentologyMusic10 ай бұрын
I play both regularly - I wouldn’t say sugaree is “better” than north cove. Way more extreme challenges and tight lines for sure. North cove is very well maintained and has a lot of extra features- pro shop, bathrooms, 3 courses, restaurant, golf carts on gorge. They’re both great in their own right. “10x better” is quite the stretch.

We did a KC trip this summer and in my opinion, Bad Rock was much better than Black Hoof. I live close enough to Eagle's Crossing to play it a few times and definitely would consider it a bucket list course. It's not a course I'd want to play every day, but a couple times a year is pretty epic. I've also played the Wild Times wooded course there and would say that it's pretty great and some would say better than the OG course...that said, if I were passing through and could only play one, I'd for sure choose the original course for the epicness of it all. Splurge for the cart...you're already paying a lot for the experience, might as well make it even more enjoyable and less tiring.
@wildrunsdiscgolf10 ай бұрын
I certainly have a bias towards black hoof cause its in my home town. I thought bad rock was already pretty well known so i wanted to pick something more unique for a kc course. Im glad to hear that the EC wooded course is sick!
@SixSided10 ай бұрын
@@wildrunsdiscgolf I think its personal taste. I live in the middle of all the KC courses and I prefer Black Hoof, but I also see a lot of issues with black hoof that hopefully get fixed soon. (Too many small / blind trees in the fairways, gun range, etc.)
