@mar2f4u6 жыл бұрын
Hello Cheryl Maranon, reference "retire" in the Philippines. I have a feeling you have not done your homework with healthcare programs for Expats living in the Philippines. There are several companies who will provide medical health assistance. For those who retired from the US Armed Forces, Standard Tri-Care is available with private credited hospital for example "Saint Luke's" in Manila is one of them. I can ramble on and on, but the bottom line it's to each there owns what type of living comfort retiree's prefer. I agree if you decide to live in Manila, its true on the overpopulation and high crime since the Government assistance for labor force is low or lack of interest for certain "Age Limit"!. The Government or Commerical sector still render "Age Discrimination" the minimum wage is unbearable for those who are trying to survive. Then on the flip side, the average family income is basically 500 or 800 dollars a month which depends on the contracts from Government agencies or the Commerical workforce. What I don't understand how these family can afford two automobiles. That's where the overcrowded on daily traffic and poor direction markers. So the blame is on Philippines LTO (Land Transportation Office) who controls the roads, highways, vehicle registration, drivers license and in force safety requirements. Like I said, there are factions within the Government that can be resolved but other's want to benefit from corruption. Personally, I am glad the current President is making things happen for the best rather asking for handouts from other countries. Honestly, it all boils down which area is the good location to live and do some online research before you make that final step. The Philippines, in reality, is not a bad place to live, I have encountered many retired service members with there spouses who rather live here than living in the states. More American franchise has increased their business in the Philippines, and besides from an Economical standpoint, the Philippines is in the top 5 Economical status growth. Once again you have to take the overall value into consideration. As for myself living in the Philippines for 13 yrs as a single person I have no regrets. I have lived in some 3rd world countries who have it worst then what you mention.

Here is my experience of living in New Zealand for nearly 4 years as a UK citizen. I am only allowed to do one job. I am only allowed to work for one company and I am only allowed to work in one area and if I wish to stay in NZ I have to get a new work visa every year. These were the conditions of my visa set out by immigration. However, now I have to apply for a visa every 6 months under the new legislation. This is a benefit to my employer as they know that I will void my visa if I leave my job and leaves me open to threats of being sacked and abused. As NZ immigration have made this decision, they are fully complicit in the slavery or immigrants coming to New Zealand. Yes SLAVERY (I do not mince my words). If I want to apply for another job then I will have to buy another visa and there will be no guarantee that immigration will accept it. After four years of living and working in the same town, I am still not allowed to register at my local doctors surgery because I do not have a two year work visa even after showing all my one year work visas to prove that I have been living and working in the local area. I am a second class slave (not even a citizen). The simple fact is, New Zealand wants money. It has nothing to do with the people and the goal posts are constantly moving. In conclusion, if you want to work towards being a resident in New Zealand you will need to- get a job that pays a minimum of $104,000NZD per year, be working for an accredited employer for at least two years and after that you can apply under an expression of interest to become a resident but this will not guarantee that you get a resident visa. Simply put, New Zealand is going to disappear under the weight of its own abuse of immigrants and no one is talking about this. I am not an immigration adviser, this is just my experience.

Speaking of New Zealand, the country has Trans Tasman agreement with Australia which means the freedom of movement between the citizens of the both countries just like the EU citizens have it in Europe. So, almost no restrictions for Australians in NZ or New Zealanders in Australia.

As a New Zealander I find this sad. Also just because it's called 90 Mile Beach it doesn't mean it is. No literally it's not 90 miles or close to it. And the Auckland? That's like says The New York City or The London. The Berlin. The Toronto. The Beijing. Etc. Luckily our new coalition government stopped so much immigration.

@tanepukenga14213 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I don't know what she's talking about with NZ. We are damn hard to emigrate to because the previous government (about a year off) over-allowed migrations to the point the entire country is in a housing crisis. That's not even mentioning the fact that most people who came over left within 3 years since we were FLOODED with migrant workers. To the point where its now a national talking point because of the lowering of work standards and difficulty of general citizens finding employment. Like when I applied to a low wage retail job and was competing against 2k other people for 5 jobs. That was just the amount who applied in the first day of the job being advertised. They took the ad down on the second day when they got 5k applications by noon.

Canada is difficult to immigrant. Canada refuse visa application with unless reasons. Also they didn't answer reasons of visa refusals. But this is also true that people attempt to immigrant to Canada any how. So Canadian administration have right to maintain balance, especially demographic balance.

@kms505494 жыл бұрын
Yea if you have comfortable Singapore money you have king level Georgia money. Which is a country that is easier to immigrate to than all other countries on this list by the way. Both points are also true for albania. Svalbard is probably the easiest place technically as anyone can just live and work there with no visa required. Very expensive cost of living and not much in the way of employment though. Plus as I recall your not allowed outside without a rifle as there is a high risk of polar bear attack.
@EvrenOzmen6 жыл бұрын
Turkey should be number one- Only buying house is enough, you do not have to stay in Turkey Previously the required financial outlay for gaining citizenship through real estate acquisition was 1 million USD. The revised figure is just a quarter of that, and now anyone buying a home worth $250,000, can become a Turkish citizen. for your questions and inquiries info@ozmconsultancy.com

I'm based in New Zealand currently but I worked 10 years in Singapore and have projects in Japan. I would rate Singapore significantly higher than Japan for a westerner looking for an Asia 1st world option. English is the main language of Singapore and the standard of living is number 2 behind Japan number 1 in the region.
