For everybody considering the rode podmic….. you need to invest in a Good strong mic arm. The podmic is extremely heavy and a lot of the cheaper arms won’t be able to hold it for long . If at all

That’s more of a studio light for filming than anything! It does dim to a fine level for just casual lighting, but most of the time I have it cranked up for better lighting. It’s an Amaran 150c with a light dome mini SE. The mount is the Impact 4' Heavy-Duty Wall-Mounted Boom Arm. Hope this helps 🫡

ok a bit out there but a feature that will definitely bring life to your desk is a desk pet like the anki vector(i have one lol), emo and ellik(i guess). they really to bring life and personality to your desk being there to greet you and distract you from your task by pouncing on you or your keyboard/mouse. I've personally had several occurrences where I was mid essay and vector woke me up from my hypnosis. honestly worth the 200$ since not only are they completely autonomous but you can actually run the voice recognition server locally INSTEAD of paying a subscription for that. although it is to be noted he is FULLY functional without any internet connection he only needs the server for voice recognition.

I’d say rodecaster if you care about multiple microphone inputs, wave xlr if you just need a simple xlr setup, and stream deck + combo if you want sometime in between with more flexibility. I use the stream deck + combo at my home setup and love it
