Small correction, the original SP did not go to sleep when the clamshell closed. The DS did that, but the SP would stay running with the screen on when closed!

Yep, sleep functionality would have to be programmed into GBA games, not a lot have it. The EZ Flash Omega Definitive Edition has it built in to the firmware though if you want to do it.

For people that asking "why", your mouse sensor also use the distant between the sensor and the pad when tracking, and for something more sensitive and fine tuned like most high end gaming mice it simply stop tracking cuz people do lift the mouse up for even just a mm or 2 as a way to stop the mouse.

1:32 this is absolutely, definitely, unequivocally not how physics work you can't directly translate visual displacement into a "graphic" like that and say it was a 10~20% difference 😭 the forces at play in the gliding of the mouse are plenty, and they aren't linear. also, a difference in how much it moves when blown by air (given an initial velocity) vs the tactile and responsive feel when moving the device by hand aren't going to necessarily be related. anyway, kinda nitpicky, but that test had zero actual uses 😭😭

doesnt... doesnt windows change the output automatically? i feel like i'm missing something, if he has an amp it would make more sense, but most amps do the change automatically to right? unless it detects the extension as a headphone and mute the speakers, the switch has no purpose in how he wants to use them, it makes sense if he wants to let them plugged in though
@icecoldsnakeYTАй бұрын
Depends on the audio driver. Realtek like most people have has the option to tie the speaker out output to the headphone jack on the front I/O and the option to automatically switch. But if using an external sound card like a Focusrite, an audio switch is useful to quickly swap. But with Win11, you can Win+Ctrl+V to quickly switch. Plus with a physical audio switcher you're introducing another link in the chain that can change the quality. Not for me!

I literally just bought the electrical components to build my own version of the audio splitter, and now all of a sudden I start finding products that fit into that niche 🤦. I'm not that upset though because my speakers, for whatever reason, are much louder than my headphones and just raw swapping the signal I would still need to adjust the volume on my laptop. The version I'm building is going to have independent volume control for each output to level the volume between the 2 devices.
