As I advance my vocabulary in Italian, I can appreciate the slow Italian conversations. I was proud to understand your conversation while reading the closed caption. Katie and Matteo literally are a part of my household. My husband suggested that I start recording myself so I can hear how far along I've come. If it wasn't was this channel...I would have given up learning Italian 12 months ago. These two make it so much fun to learn the beautiful language. Grazie mille for these wonderful learning tools!

You are, in fact, learning. Just keep listening and try to imitate occasional words that sound good to you. You'll be surprised at how much you will be able to understand and speak. Be patient and have fun with it.

I am only a few weeks into learning Italian. These slow conversations are still too fast for me however. I slow the the settings down to half speed so i can follow along and really hear the pronunciation of all the words. Then I go back and listen at regular speed. This has been really helpful. Thanks for these videos!

Yeah, these videos are great for beginners too. I started using Duolingo as well, and I think that really helps too, because first, I always had to read the English caption but now, I am reading the Italian caption and only occassionally have to look at the English subtitles.

La mia migliore amica vive a Sheffield. Io prendo un volo per Milano il prossimo fine settimana (per poi andare in treno fino a Desenzano, Lago di Garda) e sarà la prima volta che visito il Lago di Garda. Sono emozionata! I’m not sure if you already had your trip but I’ve noticed in many ‘Bar / Pasticceria ‘ in Italy they have vegan options, for example they often do a vegan version of the ‘cannolo’ if you ask. Most places have soya or oat milk if you like cappuccino. It was my first time in Verona this year and I thought it was a lovely city!

Quest'anno, a settembre, spero di affitare una piccola casa caratteristica in un paesino vicino a Positano per un mese, forse Vico Equense. E poi, andro a Windsor, e dopo questa conferenze, Francoforte per un grande conferenze per il mio lavoro. Ogni volta che visito l'Italia, imparo molte nuove parole e incontro molta gente interessante. Un amico mi ha detto: "In Italia, lavoriamo per vivere, ma negli Stati Uniti, voi vivete per lavorare."

Love walking the Longshaw estate, just south of Sheffield. Miss eating at Ciao Baby in Meadowhall. And have you tried driving up to Wensleydale to tour their cheese factory? Or fish and chips on Cleethorpes pier? Have you been down to Matlock and Matlock Bath, or Bakewell and tried the Bakewell pudding (not the tart)? Or a day in York? Troverai un buon gelato nel Galles del Sud. Se visiti una città chiamata Penygraig, vicino a Cardiff. Scoprirai una gelateria chiamata Sub Zero (dopo una disputa sul marchio nel 2010, originariamente chiamata "Mr. Creamy"). Fanno gelato da sessanta anni fa. La madre del proprietario originale era italiana, il che spiega molto.

If you like cheese and Yorkshire generally. Wensleydale is a great place to visit. Lots of “Gelato” shops popping up too, maybe try a visit to the Cotswolds. As you like coffee, there is much better coffee in the uk, specialty artisan coffee in most towns. Coffee I find in Italy generally is pretty poor, but as it’s my passion that’s probably why im so particular. The food however in Italy, is generally nicer, especially around the Naples area. That said the North of Italy tends to be my favourite part.

Go to york for a day. It is a wonderful place. There is a wonderful italian caffè called "La Bottega" ran by an italian man and his wife. A taste of home for you guys away from home! It is not too far from Sheffield.

Question? I noticed you called London londra. I am wondering why? If I told you I am from Monroe Washington I think you would just say Monroe Washington even if you were mid Italian sentence. Why is London different?

There are some large cities that are translated in Italian, e.g. London > Londra, São Paulo > San Paolo, Beijing > Pechino. There's no rule of thumb though, as other cities are not translated, e.g. New York, Madrid and Sydney. 😊

Ci sono due posti uno vicino all'altro in Londra (nello specifico in Walthamstow, E17, in nord-est). Il primo: Beaten by a Whisker con ottimismo caffe, pasticcini, e torte vegane. Il secondo: Wierdough, un posto piccolo però con una grande selezione di croissants (erano finalisti del Best Croissant in the UK competition!), pizza al taglio, e, a volte...brioche al pistacchio. Vi saluto se siete lì e sto comprando una pagnotta!

I once remember i ate while in Constanta, in Romania from an icecream shop w italian specific, obviously dont remember its taste, so what makes the difference... I also found there d be a difference between icecream & gelato? Funny, what would be that??

Hi! I’m from sheffield… these are my recommendations For breakfast : Caffe Tucci (pistachio croissants) , Coffika, Marmadukes Pizza : Porta Pizza, Rudy’s, Proove Some areas to explore : Broomhill, Crookes, Eccelsall road, Kelham Island, and of course the peak district! Hope this helps
