Yeah I'm wondering if Series X or PS5 on this one. I guess the SX handles VRR better at the lower framerates which would be helpful on this game. However, if a PS5 Pro comes out.. it would be nice to already have the game on the PS platform. Might wait a few days before purchasing to see how it performs among the two consoles.

None of the console versions will run at stable 60fps. The thing with Dragon’s Dogma is that there’s a lot of characters on screen, and all of them are always attacking or doing something that could affect performance. You have your party, and then you have the enemies, a lot going on. The only chance this game has to run at locked 60fps is high-end PC or PS5 Pro. Dark Arisen only runs at 30fps on consoles and I wish they’d remastered it before releasing Dragon’s Dogma 2 honestly.

If you have to ask, don't worry about it, but if you must know, NO, the director confirmed two days ago that the target on consoles is 30-35FPS with an unlocked frame rate. 60FPS is not happening on console for this game.

I'm really sensitive to fps and stuff, but I must say this gameplay looks pretty smooth to be 30fps. But I'm only watching and not controlling it, so maybe it will be different. I'll be looking out for the digital foundry review.

30FPS in the year of our Lord 2024. What an actual embarrassment by my all time favorite publisher. Gamecube games ran wt 60FPS, there is no excuse for these visuals at $70.

I wish they would have remastered Dark Arisen for PS5 and Xbox Series X before releasing Dragon’s Dogma 2. It’s only 30fps on consoles but on PC it’s obviously better. They could have easily got it running 60fps on PS5 and Xbox. I think the director said not to expect 60fps on any console for Dragon’s Dogma 2 unfortunately. There’s just too much going on on screen, too many characters at once doing things. I’ll probably just stick to PC for now and then play the console version when PS5 Pro comes out.

Il definitely be getting this on PC. I have a feeling it's going to be incredibly heavy on the CPU. The requirements are really heavy. I've got a good rig, but i can see it pushing what are considered as "good" components way too hard. Hopefully, I'm wrong. My GPU is ready no doubt, but after seeing all this I'm not sure if my CPU will be up to the task.

I don't think people understand that 30 vs 60 fps is an option with every console. There is a trade off. No matter how powerful a console will get, developers have the option of targeted graphical fidelity and other aspects over framerate.

I can understand stand that sentiment. I’m a big fan of the original so this is all real awesome for me. But I understand the mindset. I’m almost never a fan of any souls-like game, but I keep looking at em hoping I’ll see something that does it for me. Dark souls, Blood Borne, Eldin Ring, they’re all the same to me. Only one that’s ever done it for me is Jedi Fallen Order. Thus, why I understand you still looking even if you didn’t like the first one.
