Tight Budget friendly products, proteins = fresh chix, whole pork loin( butcher at grocer will cut it into small sections & re-package at no charge) garbanzo beans, lentils. Carbs = dry store brand pasta , rice in a bag to cook, fresh bag potatoes( a box of dehyrated potatoes 4 servings cost is about the same as a 10 lb. Bag of potatoes, $ 2.99) , store brand bread. Veggies/sides = Buy frozen veggies & canned pasta sauce. ie: it costs appx. $6.99 for fresh spinach to buy the same 1 lb. Of frozen spinach in a box for $ 1.00, same weight when finished. I buy contandina canned pasta sauce for $ 1.00 a can, will serve 2 heavily with spaghetti. Also, if you are near a city that has a Sunday newspaper, cost is appx. $ 1.50- 2.00, there are appx. $ 25.00 or more of grocer coupons in there you can use. Also, for those who say they do not have a stove, you can buy a 1 burner hot plate , plus a slow cooker for very little, & cook many items. I hope/ pray this helps folks.

I don't see any truth to your cheap sneer at all, Alexandra. What do you see as expensive out of pasta, veggies, and frozen meatballs? Your problem is probably that you don't recognize any of the stuff in the video: It's called "food." This is a technical term, referring here to genuine food, the sort of thing you see if you shop around the outside of the supermarket and avoid the processed stuff in the freezers and the middle aisles.

@@David_Lloyd-Jones Your idiocy is not my problem. As "cheap sneers" go, this is the internet; I rather imagine there are better targets for your ire. Yourself, perhaps. Had you read my comment properly, you would see that my objection relates to the cost of food waste for single-serve portions. Can you truly argue that buying an entire pack of bacon to use literally 2 slices is cost-effective? I think not. Enjoy your own budgeting follies on your own time.

Marinara lightly spooned onto a tortilla with a sprinkling of cheese on a pan. Cook medium heat with a lid until the tortilla starts to stiffen and pull it off. Pizzabites, roll them up for easier eating. // Cook an egg sunny side up with a lid (medium/low heat after initial bottom layer hardens so it wont stick/mix with the oil in the pan) and put it between two slices of bread with mayo in the bread so they don't soak up too much runny yolk and seep past onto your hands and Salt+pepper to taste. // Use a hawaiian roll and pinch it into a cup and invert it over a toaster turned on to toast the inside. This turns into a soup bite cup. Eat shortly after pouring! // Melt in a cup some butter, mix lemon, garlic powder and dill and use it on anything as a condiment from rice, bread dippers, chip wetters to meat basting and meaty sandwich enhancement. Sit it in the fridge and microwave it when needed! (no salt butter for salt sensitive option).
