You are so right that what looks good in a video (or while you are standing in front of a mirror) sometimes just doesn’t work when you are wearing it in real life. Also I just wanted to tell you I used to have a different wardrobe for each season. I felt overwhelmed and frustrated each season when I changed things over. After watching your videos I have been slowly curating my wardrobe. I have it down to two now- spring/summer and fall/winter. I just changed it to the fall/winter one and it was so easy. I am still working on slowly curating it more, but you have really helped me understand what I am aiming for and I love have a closet of clothes that I actually wear. Thanks for that.
@patriciamycyk2 ай бұрын
I’m so happy to hear that! Do you think the wardrobe frustration led to other areas of frustration in your life? I think of my wardrobe as a physical manifestation of where I am in many areas of life. 🤔
@pattysperfectday53972 ай бұрын
@@patriciamycyk what an amazing question. It’s easy to say my frustration came from having too many clothes and I have gotten rid of a lot, but I got rid of the clothes I got rid of for a reason. You’ve got me thinking! From a practical perspective, I am dealing with foot, knee and hip issues. I have had to change some of my wardrobe starting with the shoes. From an aesthetic perspective, I know I don’t look great in grey, black, or white and my husband let me know shortly after we started dating that he didn’t like brown so I had a lot of navy. One day I looked in his closet and saw everything was a shade of blue and realized he liked what looked good on him but I was wearing what looked good on him and not on me. Now I have a wardrobe in shades of reds and browns that I love and get tons of compliments on. In the last few years, I have been focusing on getting to know what matters to me, trusting myself, and realizing that I know a lot and I’ve put too much weight on what others think. Much to my surprise the more I have leaned into being true to myself, the more people like me, the more I like myself and the nicer I dress on a daily basis.

I’ve lived my whole life in sunny Far North Queensland, and never thought to use my basket bag in winter! I totally agree that as we age our style changes and it’s ok to not like certain things any more. I now only purchase something if it suits my current lifestyle. Thanks for the content ☺️

Really enjoying your new videos. I use Olay Regenerist and I'll give you a preview of things to come. I'm 77 and recently went to party and a number of women commented on how beautiful my skin is. Of course I have a bit of a summer tan so that helped. If I go out I use slightly tinted Olay moisturizer. Elf cream blush, a tiny bit of brown eyeliner brow pencil and black/brown mascara. Never changes from day to day. As usual love your nature cinematography.

I am on low fat plant based diet and cannot achieve to have flat belly 😢how did you succeed? Why mine is so stubborn?
@HerWanderlust3 күн бұрын
For some of us a flat belly is not healthy/natural. I was very skinny and had dysmenorrhea. Once I started nourishing myself deeply (whole foods, well raised eggs, meats and dairy, fermented foods, variety in our daily diet etc) I gained weight…but my cycle returned. Health is complex and looks different for each persons body
@HerWanderlust3 күн бұрын
Fats are necessary for every single function of our bodies-and is good for us (from healthy sources). Plant based fats are imo not ideal. Heritage fats like butter, lard, ghee are best (this is my opinion 💜). Wise traditions podcast has great info on a healthy diet
@JJ-wn6kk3 күн бұрын
@@HerWanderlust thank you for your comment but I do not live based on someone opinion. I live based on science. Science says whole food plant based diet is the healthiest and prevents from cardiovascular diseases and all other.

I gotta admit it does surprise me that you're not using SPF 50+ for a daily facial sunscreen, especially considering that you're living in Australia where high UV protection is arguably even more crucial than in other areas of the world. If it's a texture issue, which I can absolutely emphasize with, maybe you'd like to try some japanese or korean sunscreens. They are very lightweight, like a daily lotion. :) I enjoyed Bioré and COSRX very much so far.
@isobelsmith6999Ай бұрын
@V01D.mp3 SPF50 offers only marginally better protection from UV radiation than SPF30, filtering out 98 per cent of UV radiation compared to 96.7 per cent!

Some of us believe the benefits of letting the sun touch your skin (and also penetrate through to your organs etc!) are more important than attempting to remain unaffected by time 😅

Gorgeous footage. I rewatched the closing scenes twice. And. Thank you! I found your reflections on pants interesting: finding the right form for practical and style and shoes. It’s not easy. I’m totally a widepants person. Except. Snow slush rain. Working through and letting go of both fantasy and the midrange compromise was well illustrated. Thank you.
