I have a TC Hall of Fame 2, and the Flashback Delay. Frankly, I haven’t tried them yet, but will eventually. Seems I’m always re-arranging my board, which currently consists of TC Polytune, Foxrox Electronics CC Hybrid Fuzz, Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah, Foxrox Octron, Crowther Audio Hotcake Overdrive, JHS AT (Andy Timmons signature overdrive/distortion), G2D Morpheus distortion, Fulltone Dejavibe, MXR phase 90, EH Neo Mistress flanger, iSP Decimator, MXR 10 band EQ, and Radial Twin City amp switcher. At the point now where I’d like to get a true bypass looper. He. Gigrig looks really nice for a looper / switcher.

I realize this video came out quite while ago but after watching it I went to my local GC.and tried a couple out .I was in need of a delay and bought the prophet digital delay after hours of trying different settings I got it. Marked them settings.and I gotta say I absolutely love that pedal. Thank RGD.

I LOVE The Prophet delay! Some people like to turn their noses up at it because it’s a budget pedal, but it sounds awesome. I actually use mine all the time.

Good choice of brands to focus on. TC makes great stuff. Good vid Robert. The only one I would have added was the Viscous Vibe. Great vibe pedal for a great price.

TC makes some good stuff. My personal favorite is the Viscous Vibe. it does a very good job and aside from that makes for a really decent chorus. But I also have a Polytune3, which wipes the floor with myh previous tuner, a Korg Pitchblack. That one had some issues with the lower strings. And the Flashback2 is really good. I did replace it on my board with a Strymon Timeline but that is simply because I'm in multiple bands and need the midi capability. 3 toneprints isn't enough. You cannot really go wrong with any TC pedal as far as I'm aware.

I had the G System, that thing is incredible. Most people don't know that this thing has 4 loops as well as power available for your pedals so you don't need another power supply. It was one of the first fully customizable systems of its kind. You can get them used under $400 all day long, and even though the tech is dated, they are still great. IMHO.

Ditto is pretty awesome and probably my favorite TC pedal. I also really like the Flashback Mini. The Hall of Fame and the Corona Chorus didn't quite do it for me. Cool list of pedals overall, some I've played, and some I had never heard of. Must check out the Nova!

Enjoyed the review, I've not used any TC pedals. Been wanting a looper and hadn't considered the TC before but will now check into it. $100 range is the target unless there's a sale price with a deal.

TC Electronic's cover an enormous range of pedals, that is incredible. I have the TC Chours, really great range of tones.... Was trying to get the Alto Ego pedal, but I couldn't get it anywhere, so I got the Keeley Magnetic Echo instead.... Will definitely be getting the TC Tremolo & the Helic Phaser very shortly...! Boss & TC Electronic's are by far my favourite pedals, they are the go to pedals...! ✌😬👍

I own several TC gear items. High quality, excellent gear! IMHO the SCF is one of the best chorus pedals ever. You asked for other items of note. Before TC first introduced the tone print featured pedals they had a “Vintage” series. I have the Distortion & Compressor pedals they are just terrific!

Robert, you know I love ya and I don't often disagree, but I have had the Polyytune as well as the Boss TU-2 and TU-3 and I chose the TU series over the Ploytune. I have played a lot of night, day, indoor, and outdoor gigs, and I've never had a problem seeing the Boss tuners, but the Poly has let me down a few times. I bought a TU-2 a long time ago when they were relatively new on the market and used it for over 10 years. When it finally stopped working, I thought I would use the Poly for a while, but I did not like it as much, so I switched back to Boss and got the TU-3. Maybe I drank too much of the Kool Ade. Oh Yeah!! LOL
@RobertWJackson6 жыл бұрын
Boss is the largest pedal company in the world, and the pedals they’ve sold more of than any other are the TU-2 and TU-3. I’m not knocking those pedals at all, I’ve just had better luck with the Polytune pedals myself, and they’ve become a very successful line for TC Electronic.

No mimic pedal? Need to try it if you haven't. Just make sure you run it stereo
@RobertWJackson6 жыл бұрын
That’s why I didn’t include it. My understanding is that it does next to nothing in a mono rig, which is primarily how I have mine setup.
@MadrojDaMadone6 жыл бұрын
Awesome video... surprised that you did not have the "Mimiq" pedal on the list. I have it on my board and use it in my pedal videos with my 7 String and it makes a huge difference. Check it out for yourself... maybe TC Electronic will send you one to demo. Just a thought. :)
@RobertWJackson6 жыл бұрын
The Mimiq is definitely a cool pedal, but in a mono rig it does almost nothing. It’s really designed to be used in a stereo rig. Stereo rigs are definitely cool, but I rarely run a stereo setup unless a particular demo calls for it, just because it’s a lot of unnecessary work for my purposes.
@MadrojDaMadone6 жыл бұрын
@@RobertWJackson I use it in Mono and it makes a big difference in my setup. I have not tried it in stereo setup yet but may have to try that also.
@MadrojDaMadone6 жыл бұрын
Forgot to mention that I put the Mimiq pedal after the distortion pedals but before the time based pedals. This placement is not shown in the TC Electronic instruction booklet but it works.

Darn it, not I have to upgrade my polytune. I didn't know that they came out with a version 3. I use a lot of their pedals. Never let me down. Oh if your looking for a great example of dotted 8th note search for Misha Calvin Evolution. Not sure if you ever heard of him he was a lesser known guitarist from Europe in the 90s he had some really great metal songs with a lot of great well known heavy metal singers, Tony Martin, Ian Parry etc. He was a great guitarist only made 3 albulms then disappeared.
@RobertWJackson6 жыл бұрын
I’ll check him out! And the new Polytune 3 has a built-in buffer that I believe can be switched on and off, so you’re not stuck with true bypass if you’d rather not have it. ;)

Paul Nealis Mr Goldbar is lying. I own one and it does not automatically delete the loop when you turn it off. I personally record my loops intoVoice Memos on my iPhone. When I need them again, I play the loop through Bluetooth and jam over it. Sound quality is surprisingly great!
