I believe the highest trim on the U. S.A. production line of Gibson guitars. As far as Les Paul's is les Paul supreme. you have a USA made custom shop. The custom shop is still separate from Murphy's lab, but you still have a custom shop. I found it insane that we have the same story. Metallica is my favorite band. Fade the blacks My favorite song from them. I was showing my fiancé, the 1989 fade black. With kirk playing the les, paul custom going on about how it was my dream guitar. Well I got a 2020 Lp custom ebony used of reverb 4 days ago. Went through this entire story with my girl and found this video last night! Thought it was insane that we have uniquely similar storys while I didn't have a basement. I'd sit in my room with my jackson kelly and jump around to the binge and purdge live set... wanting to be a musician. I was the 2nd founding memeber of a local band here in NC called Bare Noble. You can find us on here and Spotify and itunes . You can see me playing my epiphone version of the les paul custom 😅 could not afford the gibson in 2012! Stoked to finaly own one even used. Came with original parts .graph tech ratio tuners and bare knuckles 59 paf clone and a jimmy padge wireing harnesses. For 3500! I thought that was a deal on reverb. Pulled the trigger been enjoying this guitar. Cant wait to get together with my current cover band and play with this bad ass guitar! Happy for you too man. First video ive seen of yours but we have a similar stories about 10 years apart. I was a jr in high school in 2004, lol when I graduated id wake up jobless and jump around my room jamming metallica riffs to that binge and purdge DVD set lol but yeah definitely subscribing to you channel man!

I was hoping you'd have Kustom's listed. :) Back in the day, our band had a Kustom bass amp and Kustom PA. The PA would just cut out when it was pushed. We had the biggest gig of our young lives turn to $hit when our PA starting cutting out at a pool party gig. It was the most embarrassing night our band ever had. The bass amp did the same thing. They were solid state POS's.

To me this brand is a zombie brand, there’s not a real factory and they are simply importers of guitars and since they’re from Indonesia, it’s probably made in a quart factory next to the imported guilds and probably a dozen or two other recognizable brands. This is a fundamentally different arrangement than Martin or Taylor who own dedicated factories in Mexico. The Indonesian factories can turn out fantastic guitars, as can Chinese factories. Companies like Zagger are trying to make you think that they are something that they are not. It was evident in that word salad letter they wrote you. There are no different laws that I’m aware of about importing wood whether it’s in the form of a raw plank or in the form of a finished product, just total nonsense in that letter. at best, these guys have a facility in the US where they warehouse incoming guitars and perhaps QC some of the more expensive ones. There are other brands out there with comparable quality and prices from brands like Eastman, Orangewood, Blue Ridge, and others who are not trying to obscure who they are and where their guitars are coming from.

Believe it or not there was a 600 watt Crate Blue Voodoo that ran a 16x12 cab. They premiered it at namm 2005 or 2006. There used to be a video of this thing and there is a thread on Harmony Central about it.
@RobertWJackson3 күн бұрын
Yeah, but it wasn’t a production model. It was a one-off that they did specifically for The NAMM Show that year. I’m not sure anybody even really knows what happened to it after that.

Could you imagine how heavy that head must have been? It would have taken 4 people just to pick it up. 😂 Great video also I did see a video of one of the Fender PS400’s on here. The video quality left much to be desired. Last but not least. Music Go Round has a BV300.

awesome guitar , I love my LP Standard 50s faded edition bought in 2016 . Epiphones now are putting out some great instruments since Gibson stop making Axs under $1500.

You are 100% on point. I bought a ZAD50M which I love but Zager company would get much more love if it was transparent - I really don't care where the AX is made as long as its a great instrument. The Asia market is putting out some really awesome guitars for the $$. I have a new inspired BY Gibson Epiphone ES335 made in China "its a Gibson in every way its awesome". Martin is using all types of tone woods now !

I daisy chained an Ampeg RB 112 bass combo with a Fender Frontman 60 and a "Pile Driver" boost pedal. Even with both amps at half volume and the pedal at about 1:00, the volume was to much for most gigs. Yes, I'm a bass player. This was nuts.

I went into a guitar store today to buy a high end/range guitar and one that I would keep for life and was thinking I'd get a PRS S2 or an ESP.....walked out with a 60s Les Paul standard. I've never played a USA LP standard until today, and i had held off over the years due to hearing about their QC issues, but damn youre right they really have improved based on what i played today. Congrats on that custom mate. it looks awesome 🤘

had one back in 85. i saved and got it in instalments bought it slow over a year and a half from our not so local music store five villages down the valley. paid the fee and every week on the dot. i got to know the shop owner over the months a real nice fella.. that he let me have the amp when i'd paid 3/4 said he trusted me to continue the payments which i did .. told him i'd only buy from him i would patronise his establishment and that i did though it very rare then he retired.. but he gave me first dibs on a fender bassman and cabinet real cheap.. that! a pal distroyed by accident. a real bitch ??? that amp.. to say i was upset..anyhow at about that time my life was shattered and blown apart a big gaping wound that time has scabbed over. and the laney blew as well but was under warranty lucky for me was repaired was played loud and often for a few years it was a great little loud amp with many and variable tones probable punching well above its weight. an amp you had to tweak but there were many sweet spots and the guitar volume and tone really changed its sound or how you attacked the new strings .. it sure could bark when needed but purr almost invisible inside a song you just got the feel for it after a short while. and it was relatively lightish to lug about.

I seriously considered buying a high end Zager at one point while looking for a secondary full size guitar. I wound up buying another Martin. I agree their videos are a bit misleading. Denny Zager sits there playing them wearing a shop apron like he just finished gluing one together or something. I have always been a Martin fan and was looking for a smaller guitar with which to travel. I considered Zager's travel or parlor size but I too just kind of got a bad vibe watching the videos and listening to Denny's son hawking these things. Then I read that most of their guitars are actually foreign made and were possibly just given a final assembly in the US. Putting strings on a guitar is not quite the same as having it made here. OK, a bit of an exaggeration but you get my drift. I went with a gently used Martin 00 instead and am completely satisfied with it. More costly sure but well worth it.

Without a shadow of a doubt, it is a Flanger activated at the final C B C bass notes on the guitar. If it was a phase 90, you would hear the treble notes going in and out of phase also.

I have bought 2 gibsons in 2024, and both have obvious QC problems. Some finish problems and some improperly installed hardware. For $3500 guitars, its kind of pathetic that they cant get their act together.

@RobertWJackson7 күн бұрын
Probably not. My old Facebook account got hacked to the moon and Facebook won’t let me back into it, so I started a new account and I’m only in one or two guitar groups now. Guitar groups on Facebook have become some of the most toxic environments on the internet, and I don’t really have much interest in that these days. I still have my Twitter account if I’m in the mood to troll. LOL

Congratulations Robert! It’s a great feeling. Recently I ordered a Wildwood selection 60’s Les Paul standard from wildwood guitars of course. I am very very satisfied with their service and attention to detail. The tops were picked by wildwood and the pickups are wound to their specs. This is like my 8th Gibson in 13 years and it takes top honors. Nothing… absolutely nothing wrong. Double boxed with the thickest boxes I ever seen. Yes the new owners of Gibson have made great improvements for sure.

Robert I love your videos, but here I care to disagree on one entry: I've owned several of the tuck-and-roll (or buttocks leatherette as we called them) Kustom amps. Guitar combo (that sounded great as a slightly breaking up blues amp) and we had a P.A. amp w 2 columns that sounded very warm for vocals and a little bit of drums we put thru it. Also, never left us high and dry. The Kustoms were popular in my part of the world in de mid-70's.

I almost pulled the trigger on one during the current 2024 "retirement" sale. Key selling point was "made in USA". I can buy a Chinese, Korean, Mexican, or Indonesian origin guitar any day. The tip off for me was no serial number stamp on the headstock. This video confirmed my suspicion. Quality aside, deceptive at best.
