Minor lore thing: Merfolk in the Sea of Thieves genuinely enjoy helping pirates who fell off their ship. No one truly knows why, but that's why they smile. Also lore thing: Merfolk don't reproduce traditionally. They find pirates who want to become Merfolk (usually super friendly pirates), and then wrap their legs in silver, which causes the fins to grow.

I think why they didn't add a vote to kick is so you dont get "trolled". Imagine helping a crew for 3 hours getting super good loot, than just as your about to cash in with them they all vote kick you. Now that's 1 way to "Save, quit, uninstall."

They should have two conditions on vote kick though. 1. If you started the session, you cannot be kicked. 2. If you have been in the game for 30+ minutes you cannot be kicked. Before then, you won’t get much loot, and can be kicked for afk.

The bounty idea is amazing! It would reign in some of the notorious "grief" players because they would literally be earning a target on their backs by running around ruining everyone's game. That was an amazing idea to place a bounty on them.

How bout we make AFK farmers literally walk (or rather get pushed off) the plank? Imagine, instead of kicking someone and they immediately just pop outta existence, you tie em up, and then push them off of the plank or make their character automatically walk off the plank in a cinematic cutscene, which then results in death that has their character be booted off of the session and into the main menu after exiting the ferry of the damned, and they only get control when the reach the menu. Why? Presentation, immersion, and LORE.

These ideas are all very cool. I especially like the "Bounty on player" feature you mentioned. This would in theory be very easy for the devs to code. However the ropes on the side of the sails is a good idea in theory but coding this would be a nightmare. The swinging animation and mechanic would be very tricky to add I reckon. Very good video :)

This game really needs some wildlife. Coral reefs teaming with fish and other sea creatures, Rock pools again with little sea creatures scattered about. Islands with caiman, monkeys, parrots, seagulls, crabs, jaguars, lizards, turtles etc etc. Also they could be used to craft gear like hats, necklaces, clothing etc. Would really help make this game feel alive.

It would be cool if they added a faction system of some sort to put more of an emphasis rivalry and pvp but in the adventure map. That could also be incorporated with the bounty on other players but they can be set by factions to get revenge.

I feel like a pirate faction system would have to be a players set up sort of thing. Like pirates will be pirates no matter the case. Putting them in a faction would only encourage the PVE grinding that already goes on, as many people are then safe from a larger portion of players (players in the same faction). I think it ultimately comes down to the players. Like if there was a huge allied group on a server that went around as a 5 galley fleet would be very cool to see, with other players forming alliances to fight them. I feel like this was the original idea behind sea of thieves, though that doesn't actually occur.

When u get on the top of the ladder you go down because the ladder sags as of the weight of the pirate so they should add so that heavier pirates make the ladder sag more that lighter pirated

1:01 you say seconds, i gotta wait about 10 minutes every time still, i've just learned to deal with it also wanna point a few things. bountys on players would just encourage targeting from people with alot of money to waste by sending everyone on the server after them, this may even happen to new people in which they are just going to get relentlessly tracked down. not to mention it could be easily exploited with people putting bounties on people they know or allied with for free money or just exchange. the afk kick has also been suggested for a while, but that can be abused heavily. imagine doing some highest tier quest then a group of friends decide to kick you before handing it in, because yarr. also yea, fuck galleons grave

There should be ropes on the boat that you can use to moor (park) the boat. E.g You can strap the ropes around a log to make the boat stay attached to the dock. This would make it much easier to park the boat. Also, Rare could make it so that attaching harpoons onto the dock attaches your boat to the dock, just a thought 🤷🏻‍♂️

I would like to see the outposts fleshed out more. Right now the outposts are just a bunch of merchant NPCs selling adventures. I would like the tavern to be fleshed out; you should be able to hang in the tavern and rent rooms to refill your health meter. I'd also like to see evil mermen added to the game. Perhaps an underwater city full of these evil mermen?

For the bounty, how about the crew of the outlaw pirate can’t cash it in (as the game won’t let them pick it up), but the wanted pirate, once he respawns, can sell it. But only getting half of what he is worth. This system would imply teamwork and won’t make the wanted pirate rage quit as he is about to die. Just a thought I came up with.

Idea for your Voting Wish: a „Vote to Maroon“ Option. Pirates who don‘t contribute anything can be left on an Island nearby without letting them return via Mermaid. If they get lucky, they could find a Rowboat to row for an Outpost and request a sloop or something. Or, another crew could find them and bring the Pirate along. Or, ya know, kill him. They could even let him join the crew if they had open space. If he finds his old crew, he could beg to rejoin them, which is entirely the Crew‘s decision. They could vote to let him back on the ship or vote against it and just kick him back into the Ocean. Would be great for roleplayers and horrible for AFK Farmers because they won‘t get any of the rep or gold.

Fixing the ladder animation and carrying two trinkets at once should already be in the game. A player bounty hunter system as you describe it also sounds great. One small change I'd like to see - make the golden skeletons a little easier to kill with your sword as they're a real pain in the ass if you've run out of shots and there's no easily accessible ammo nearby.

Now that emmirsarys are a thing i would like to see maybe temples where you would be able to worship the three mane enemys (skeltons,megaldon,kraken) if you could worship these and get cool buffs like skeletons do less damage and pay less attenttion to you. The megaldon could increase swim speed and megaldon health is decreased.Kraken chance is lower and kraken specail move chance is lower but these would only work like emmisarys so the whole crew would have to choose to worship one and the crew cant pick one each to worship buffs also dont build up they only buff the crew once these. Temples would be like the reapers hidout or arena bases in adventurem mode

Nothing about the tedium of the pre journey supply grind? I thought it'd be good to be able to spend gold to buy a "care package" of cannonballs, wood and food so if you want to just get going on your voyage, you can. Either that or increase the inventory for wood by at least 5. Similarly a speedier way to load fruit, wood and cannonball crates instead of the current manual process which is just tedious.

UltimaPowers I think they should add a General store at every outpost where you can buy a crate of cannonballs, crate of low tier food, crate of high teir food, and even be able to buy a keg. This would give peaple something to use there gold with. They should add a way to “armor” kegs so you can travel with it safely. It would cost like 1k. This would allow the pvp players to have more depth to combat and more pve focused players can just have a better time with some extra content. This game would go soooo far if it had a system where the factions give you advantages in combat. Maybe the gold hoarders give you a hull with strong metal so you can ram players and get more Benifit but also go slower or something. Maybe the merchants would give you better sail that could go faster but could be knocked down easily. The order of souls could allow you to see enemy’s on the map if they are close but it takes 10 extra seconds on the ferry. I kind of wrote an essay here but I still have ideas for player progression. I know it would be unfair but. Who cares!! It would be sooo much fun

Well I say there is a problem with the Bounty Idea. This is mainly lore based, in the Sea Of Thieves you are basically in another realm of open ocean where there is no law. The lifestyle of murder and pillage is basically the norm, not an outlawed ideal.

An alternative to vote-to-kick: if you're in the brig, you're given a random button prompt every 5 minutes. Press the button within a minute, or you're auto-kicked.

The story for the merchant quest in a bottle is that pirates that get the merchant quest get bored so they put the quest in a bottle and chuck it in to the ocean. but thats just a theory, a game theory.

I hate the fact that you can hold a chest or skull or animal on ur back when climbing ladders but not when ur running. So it would be cool if you could sprint with a chest and hold something else from your inventory then use X(on xbox) to drop and pick up and B for other things

I would say vote to walk the plank so that players if they just get kicked for no reason they dont need to keep going into other open crew servers until they dont get kicked for no reason, walk the plank would make you, well, walk the plank, and you will be reported to the nearest island but get kicked off the team, so you would be a castaway and other crews can pick you up but they cannot kill you and you cannot kill them, it is their option if they want you in their crew or not
