Thank you. This was an interesting and illuminating discussion. As for the final threat, I might be being overly optimistic, but perhaps, as the supply of potable water shrinks, people will return to drinking what they drank back before potable water was plentiful, which is to say BEER. Also, a slight unsolicited note: The graphic at about 8:39 into the video, suggesting that some generic "premium lager" that clearly isn't Beck's contains 31 calories from fat... well, you know where I'm going with this. In any case, keep up the great work, and Happy New Year!

Love your content! Denver local here. Thought it was interesting you mentioned the growing cannabis industry as a potential threat to the beer industry. While I don't disagree that in some places they'll compete with one another, the two are still quite similar overall from a business perspective. A craft brewery here in Denver has to stand out the same way a dispensary does and for much the same reasons. People like products with a lot of time and effort put into them. I think as laws are still grey and changing there might be some conflict but over time these industries could coincide pretty well with one another. Time will tell though I suppose! Me personally I'd love to see more well made craft beer on the market as time goes on.

Great and informative as usual, thank you - I Would love to hear what you can find on the UK Threats to Craft Beer seeing as we are a long way behind the US at present. I've heard from a couple of breweries i'm familiar with that they are struggling to shift casks locally, even during this festive period - Could that be because of saturation? Ultimately, what I think will kill the whole industry here in the UK is the HMRC Duty on breweries (which is reduced for micro breweries) and TAX for the consumers. Thanks Again! 🍻

Great idea! I've only been to the UK once, specifically Scotland, and craft beer were few and far between compared to American bars. Certainly food for thought for this beer nerd, Cheers!

Beer prices are strange. A Brewery charges 7$ for a glass but you can get their 6 pack at a store for 14$.

I think much of that gap is labor. Someone to pour, clean, and maintain all that taproom space. People are expensive haha, but creat invaluable experiences!

Small and local is better what I’ve seen honestly for more reasons than one I love traveling and trying a new beer I can’t get at home and getting a sticker to bomb the keezer

Hey there, any chance you could message me directly? I have some security sensitive questions to ask you about the craft beer industry and how that applies to farming hops in Michigan. Thanks.
