Some more Northern California falls - Crystal Creek Falls north of Redding, easy access .25 mile flat walk from the hiway. Whiskeytown Falls - fairly steep 1.7 mile climb, also north of Redding. King's Creek Falls in Mt Lassen Volcanic Park. Wampama Falls at Hetch Hetchy Resevoir, part of Yosemite National Park but you catch it outside of the park entrance on 120. Faery Falls in the Mt. Shasta area. On the way up to Shasta right off I5 near Dunsmuir, Hedge Creek Falls. Short walk to it, and you can go behind the falls in a little cave like opening. Panorama Trail in Yosemite. We caught a shuttle to Glacier Point, then you walk 8 miles down to the Valley. You cross Illouette, Nevada, and Vernal Falls.

Another great list. Thanks. This is perhaps your list that I've least visited. My old man experience tip about waterfalls: always just go. On Yakushima Island in Japan my son and I were driving around the island (clockwise). The map kept showing another turnoff to a waterfall. Sure. Wow. Another one? Nah. But dad, this one is supposed to be... It sure was. I think there were four waterfalls each one different enough and spectacular enough to be worth the effort. So always: just shut-up and go see the waterfall. What I'd like to see are area guides, maybe listed by accessibility: drive and walk a minimal distance, hike a distance, etc... I find that when I'm say at Lava Beds National Monument finding out all the interesting things in the area is a bit disorganized. (You know like when you're on the plane home from Beijing and they show the video and you learn that what just looked like a tourist trap, and which this is the second longish stay in Qianmen you've walked by dozens of times... and only on the plane do you learn that it's over 500 years old and serves the best duck in town. We even looked up duck in the guidebook and ended up across town.) The Shasta area seems to be the least organized like this. (Probably totally subjective.) I got there and had no clue of where to go. I was just looking at my atlas and guessing at which roads would be interesting. Also, in a couple of years when SpaceX's Starlink network goes online, we'll have internet access all the time and everywhere (trees, museums, tunnels excepted).
