I must be aging better than I think I am. I go to a restaurant regularly for lunch when I'm at work and noticed a number of the staff are more friendlier towards me than others. One person in particular who is nice with everyone but when I go to the counter she lights up with the sweetest smile. She shy's away and on occasion will make eye contact but she does try to make eye contact more now as time has passed. While our conversations are very short but I can tell there is some interest from her in me. Honestly, if I was single I would have asked her out on a date a long time ago cause she is very attractive.

I think it depends how she's looking away. Some women, if they're into someone, have a hard time maintaining eye contract with someone they like. Some men do this too. Maybe try smiling at her or just saying hi and see what happens.
