home made energy gels can also go into baby home made fruit squeeze packets! they are also reusable. It might be easier for you to hold the gels than in a bag.

Good luck on the marathon! Looks like you're doing everything right. Few suggestions from my marathon experience: bring an extra hair tie, Epsom salt baths will be your best friend, and even if you don't think you'll need it, bring some pain relievers for the run. They may help you get thru the last mile or so if you are aching. Good luck and rock it girl!!

I'm a nutrition and dietetics graduate student in the US and one of my professors does ultra marathons and Ironman races. Like yourself, she's very conscious of what she puts in her body as fuel. She uses a homemade fuel on her longer runs that consists of 1 banana, 1 small, cooked sweet potato, 1 Tbsp of peanut butter (heated in the microwave for ~20 second), 1 Tbsp of chia seeds, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon and a drizzle of honey. Mash all the ingredients together and there you go! It seems like you've got your fuel for this marathon set, but I thought I'd share this with you, in case you decide you want to mix it up if you do another distance race! Good luck!

I watched your video yesterday and today i started to do yoga and jogged for an hour after i stopped working out for MONTHS. Thanks for always being a motivation. LOVE this! It's SO important for us runners to remember to adjust our food intake to make sure we are fueling our bodies properly -- and I love that you're still conscious of taking care of your digeston while eating appropriately for your training! Those homemade energy gels sound DELISH to me!

RECIPE Choco Chia Seed Puddin 1¼ cup coconut milk 1Tbsp maple syrup pinch sea salt 3 Tbsp cocoa powder ¼ cup chia seeds Mix all ingredients together in a mason jar and shake to combine to a pudding consistency. Let rest for 20 minutes NIOMI I THINK YOU WOULD LOVE THIS CHOCOLATE VEGAN RECIPE❤️

I can't believe you went out after a 20 mile run, that's a perfect excuse to lie on the sofa for the rest of the day binge watching something! I felt so sick after my half marathon I couldn't even eat a proper meal, and my shins killed! I can't imagine doing a full one.. majorly impressed! xx

Letting your body recover, getting proper sleep is so important! :) Before a run I'll be stretching, pre hydrating with coconut water is the best for me.. I'll always eat tons of carbs like rice after a run, especially if I want to run the next day. I feel it's like making a deposit, to treat your body with the love & respect it deserves, then you get the results you've been striving for.. always celebrate small goals.. sending positive vibes&love to you ♡

Must be such an incredible feeling knowing you just RAN for 20 miles in 3 hours and a bit. So, so good! I did a 22 mile walk once and that took 8 and a half hours and I was recovering for days after that! You're superwoman :D

You should try using coconut water instead of water for your beverage. Coconut water has natural electrolytes (plus it's tasty). Also, nix the lemon/lime since they are diuretics.

+Beth Roger i know...it made me wonder if some people would view what I eat as a ridiculous amount, cause I don't exercise at all and I eat way more. I guess we should't compare, but it's a bit odd that she was saying that. Maybe she meant it was a lot for her personally, but it worries me a lot that it might fuel disordered eating in people watching it, who might eat a perfectly reasonable amount for their body, compare it to this, and think they're eating a ton. It's a bit how I felt, and I know I eat a good amount for me, so it worries me that younger, more impressionable girls will see it and take it more to heart.
