Dangerfield certainly calls those piano wire wrenches a zed wrench. I've talked to him about them, because I think they're the most versatile plug wrench out there (should be part of every jackknife set IMO), and he's looking into making new and various versions of it. I discovered that if you shorten the one end it works very well as a classic TOK tool while the other end is a good classic BOK, because of the 90° axial rotation of the one end. Give the shortened TOK end a little twist ala Chris Capune and it becomes wonderfully ergonomic too. DMAC has made them for himself but uses bicycle spokes instead of piano wire, which works well, so I took that approach and made a few, one of which I keep with my Riv pick set so I can have both BOK and TOK with one wrench.

The price you mentioned for this kit, $75 USD was exciting. I was going to buy it immediately. However, Barebones website lists this kit as $115.50 US dollars and as $175.95 Australian dollars. Less exciting.

When you change the shipping address to the US it does drop a little bit further to $105.00 USD. But the shipping goes up to $19.75.

I like the profiles. I’m just a new guy but I like the slick steel on the covert brand. how much easier is it with the plastic grips? 🎉

This appears to be nearly identical to the Praxis dual gague, same dual gague, both 301, exactly the same pick selection, mixture of wrenches including a wire z wrench. This one does have handles tho. Had the Dangerfield Praxis since it came out 2018, and it is still really good

I ordered most of Bare Bones stuff too and I got an email from them listing the things I did not add to my basket, but they decided to give them to me anyway to complete the pick sets that I ordered. 😅 My package cleared today and i'm hoping it will be delivered to me tomorrow. I wanna make an unboxing video going over every Item I ordered. I really want to see how good these picks are, I heard so many good things about their unique deep hooks and "feral" turning tools (unique viper inserts)

Those scales are so pretty! Too bad Bare Bones only have two hooks in this set. Those gem hooks though... those look very nice! Any chance you can demonstrate them on your locks?

I have the advanced lock pick set but the case it came in I’m not a fan of . Everything falls out so I moved them to my Moki case

I got their gem set and the dimple set. I loved the profiles, the steel is top notch, but i found that i neededbto finish them myself.

Do you know what I hate, Sandman? I hate sounding like a broken record. But I can’t help it, this was yet again ANOTHER great review video. I don’t know what it is, maybe it’s the fact that the word ‘bones’ is in their name, but I dig those white handles. I also dig that you flashed the list of all of the lock pick manufacturers with the ones who use the highest quality steel and have great quality control highlighted. I didn’t realize just how many there are. But anyway, thanks for another great video review. I’m already looking forward to seeing what’s next.
