My k24 is forged on the inside. It's really nothing crazy compared to CSS blocks, Sleeves, or billet parts.

He just has upgraded pistons and rods which is a basic upgrade. If he had dart block or sleeved LS then you have something crazy.

Stock crank, aftermarket rods and pistons, that's pretty standard boosted LS stuff. Actually that's pretty much standard boosted anything.

I'm from Houston, started out with 300zx, supra, rx7. And back in 2001 if you had 600 HP that was God mode. It was not until a few later we would see an occasional Near 1000hp. Fast forward to 2017 now we got 3000Hp 6 cylinder GTRs? And 3500HP lambos with snails Wow technology progression went so fast . I think the later models actually helped this with so much more ECU control that was frowned on back then

See I hate that on a street car because when it finally makes power it just blows the tires off... I wouldn't be surprised if this was a high 9 second car at the track at best... I went high 9s NA with only 450RWHP in my 99 Camaro back in the day with less than half the power, but it was instant power with a nasty 60'.

@@fern6978 I don't know I've seen some amazing work with big turbos on the street. Technology came a long way. Rolling launch, anti lag, boost by gear really helps alot for stability and control.

I made 1300whp+ and the only thing I never broken on the driveline is the stock c5 axle.. and all I do is dig race on the street and track. Mid to low 8s passes all day, cutting 1.2x 60'

I’m sure I’ll catch hell but, I’m glad when I built my C6 ZO6 I went with a Vortech YSI. When it was a H/C car that cold start sound firing up thru KOOKS and Corsa was just to beautiful to change. There are very few V8s that sound great turbo’d. Listen to the Koenigsegg Agera vs the Koenigsegg CCXr. The sounds coming from the engine bay are ruthless, but what comes out of the exhaust especially hood vented just sounds completely muffled and different.

My son-in-law Ricky Ruiz twin 69 mm turbo 67 Camaro 3500 lb went 8.88 at 165 with almost the same set up as yours T 56 magnum full synchronized same clutch. Runin at E85 at 24 pounds boost. If you’re in California would be a fun race. That C-5 Corvette is probably 300 pounds lighter should be very very fast. Nice car

Not super expensive either. Rods, pistons, used turbo kit, engine management, fuel system, uprated clutch. All the driveline problems come back to tuning. The well sorted out cars don't break drive line parts very often. McCloud clutches tend to hit really hard as well.

A clutch kit that can hold that power is at least $1500. I'm fully built k24 cost $3k worth of parts. Did the labor myself. Clutch kit for my power goal (600whp) is $1500, can't imagine what a corvette twin disk or triple disk would cost 💀 only people who've actually built cars understand that expenses are the small shit that no one thinks about.

A budget build? Naaah a budget build to me is getting two 600hp rated eBay turbos, tearing apart the engine to only add a lot of ring gap with all stock internals, getting new gaskets, porting the heads, a new cam then just fucking sending it with all the boost
