WFO makes an ESC plate and receiver box that lowers the Max in between the center brace. That's what I use. It works great!

Good info man. The same thing just happened to me. Snow packed in the fan I had on the max6. The ESC didn't like it and shut off. I think I am done with snow for awhile just had cabin fever and needed to get out. Those trenchers are sweet too man. Like landing jumps on a mattress.

I look the Trencher look too. But I don't want any issues with after market tires either. Some folks here on YT think the stock tries are still a good all around choice.

I've tried DuraTrax Lockup X and the stock tires. From what I've seen, the trenchers are better for us running the 1/5 electronics. All the other tires come unglued too much or just blow apart. That's why I got them. I'll install them on my Outcast 8s first. Hehe.

U still like the trenchers? got badlands atm and want to try the trenchers because like the stock tires they balloon and it made it more fun for me at least!

I wanted to take my xmaxx out but as of recently we have way too much snow. Last time I thought I was going to fry my stock esc. Looking to upgrade to a very similar setup to this. But I am not sure if I want to go go a bigger motor or not. I know I want a better esc. Probably a max 6 as I don't want to cut the chassis to fit the 5. Hoping I can gear the stock motor up a little more with a better esc. Currently running the stock slower gears. Problem is that I can NEVER leave anything stock. It can ALWAYS be better!!

Can you tell me if the chassis slaps before the shock is fully compressed with these tires ? Was just curious if they were as tall or taller than the Duratrax Six Packs. TIA !

Try putting paddle tires on your X max you will have a lot more fun on the snow and get it stuck less.

Sup buddy I'm going to running the Firma 160 from the start as well when I grab my XMaxx next week. I like the Bec to 8.4 option and if you want to go 100% Reverse you can. I plan on going 1/8 HV Servo. Not sure on the trenchers, of course you can't tell in the snow how great they are, but so many traxxas guys just say "Stock is Best" 🤷 Great vid as always brother

Nice Video dude! Wanted to also say that the ESC mounted lower isn't just for looks. also lowers the center of gravity. I Try to Keep all the weight as low as possible.

Wheel nuts are off eBay. They’re so you can run any 24mm wheel on the Xmaxx. The hexes are I think gpm. Wider than stock.

Great vid again !!! Jason , check out my Xmaxx vids , I just put in the K8S ESC in my Xmaxx on stock motor , waiting for my WFO mini mount to come so I can try the 1250 in it , have the large mount also when I get the 1100kv like yours !!
