@@kindredspiritzz66 cesar santos.. tischler... and janhendrick dolsma. I'd say tischler is best at landscapes.. dolsma is best at seascapes.. santos is best at portraits.. micheal james smith is a great realism artist. Check out janhendrick dolsma... will blow you away.

Go figure, I search KZbin for a specific technique I want to learn and it brings me right to Micheal James Smith's KZbin channel. As a past member of his art school, I can truly say, I only need one teacher, MJS. I've had to hang up my brushes due to a neck injury which stops me from painting, I don't know how long it will be until I can paint again. This is the only reason why I am not a "current" member of MJS online art school. On that note, I still like to watch videos and learn technique...making notes for future reference. Thanks for this video, Micheal. I will be back to your online art school ASAP.

Sir Michael, you make it look very easy, You make your strokes very smooth and fluid. I love your works so much and your personality is amazing...and you have become an inspiration to me. But Sir...why is it too difficult for me to even strike my brush, even as I apply Gesso or linseed oil? I feel frustrated because my canvas peels off as my oil paint doesn't run smooth instead, gets stuck. I appreciate your work so much. And I always get back to every one of your episodes. Mr. Smith - Your work is incredible and I really respect your ethic. Thank you for everything you are doing. I have my degree in Art from Arizona State University and have been painting for about seven years. During my degree I discovered painting with palette knifes. Most of my work is abstract portraits. I’d like to move toward more realistic painting but really love working with palette knives. Any suggestions?
