A really honest and useful video. I have two BXs, JD1025R, Kubota GL5740HSTC and M8540HDC; two farm properties, so I have to have them. I don't need a B2601, but I want one. I've come close in the past, but I'm getting older and running out time so... Your tractor is set up just right and exactly what I would recommend. I modify all mine, but they work fine without them. I will provide some unsolicited information. Specialty Repairs and Custom Mods. I've dealt with Paul and Kathy for years, great people and great products.

Hello Dave, We are getting close to the 400 hour service interval and are still amazed at what this little tractor can do. The loader on our B2601 is smooth, but only with a lot of concentration on my part. I do wish there was a way to adjust the responsiveness of the joy stick so there wasn't such a fine line between slow and fast . Thanks for another great video. We hope you and your family have a great Christmas. Ben

I went with the LX due to the need for a cab. I had a BX and simply outgrew it although it was a great little machine. Thanks for the video

Really enjoy your channel. We bought our B2601 in February and have had no problems so far. I got a set of pallet forks and am going to see how much firewood I can lift in an IBC tote. After watching your video lifting heavy logs, I have more confidence that I'll be able to lift at least half of an IBC tote. I hope you can get your loader problem figured out. Keep up the good work.

You can do a lot with just pallet forks. They are very useful and inexpensive.

Good job! I've had my B2601 for two years this month. Love it too. I noticed the buttons to operate your front remote are mounted forward, like they did mine, and that knob can be loosened and the buttons turned to the inside, which lessens hitting them accidentally when using the loader. I was having the SAME loader problems you've had and made sure not to touch those buttons, and it stopped! So loosen the screws and move the knob so that the buttons are above your right knee. My dislike is the stiffness of the treadle peddle going in reverse. To me, it IS a luxury model in the B line, but I didn't look closely at all the BXs because they were a bit small in frame and, as you noted, ground clearance. Otherwise you must go up to the LX to exceed it on creature comforts.

Hi, Yes, I have since turned the buttons and this has helped some.

Thanks Dave... I have the B2601 and I agree with stability issues lifting and moving big logs. If I'm not on level ground I'm afraid that I'm going to bend the tractor. I don't have the third function hydraulics and I have not had the hesitation issue that you have illustrated in past videos. I am not a fan of the regen function all of the larger tractors are required to have. Which is one of the reasons I didn't go bigger. Also, I put on Pat's Quick Hitch on my 3 point. Absolutely a great addon. It makes putting on attachments that much easier. It also doesn't have the compatibility issues with Quick Hitches, since there is no standard that I am aware of. All in all I love my B2601.

That seat was crazy expensive. I think it was around $1000. I had close to $700 in gear bucks at my dealer from the purchase of the bike so I didn't have a big cash outlay. I will say this, I still think its worth the money. It really changed things for the better. The heat is also worth it to me. Cold a lot where I ride.

Nice video. I have the same tractor with the BH70 backhoe. I also have a Landpride 60” grapple & pallet forks. I couldn’t be more pleased with the performance of this machine. The R14 tires are great. I wanted a unit that I could get in a standard garage door. I haven’t found the loader to be “ jerky” but mine is a 2022, perhaps they did something to the valve body? Thanks for your share, stay well.

Dave, I much appreciate your videos. I have just ordered my 2601 with grapple, mower, plow and R14s. Should take delivery in the next 2 weeks. I am trading up from a BX 1880. I appreciate all of your information. Regarding a cab, I am told that if you are in the woods at all, you will break it. Seems like there will always be some branch that gets away from you when you least expect it and you get broken glass. Keep this info coming. All the best.

I am enjoying your content...keep up the great work. I got the B2601 in spring of 2019 (my first tractor)...and I agree that the loader does not operate smoothly. In fact the higher the RPM the worse it is. Other than that I also love this tractor. I do not recall if the tire model was avail when I placed the order...I got the turf tires, but I might have picked those instead.
