Very good theory and practise. The glue removal step is something a lot of people skip or think it's not important then wonder why the chip is not sitting down onto the PCB haha! A couple of minor things to add.... if the IC is salvaged from another board be sure to add flux to the legs and wick off the old solder, ensuring the legs are clean and all in-line and flat. Also if the IC is old (or even new-old-stock) and tarnished, lightly sand the legs with 400 grit sandpaper so that the solder will stick.

I have question I want a method to test logic gates like hc7404 in the board without remove it from the circuit . So any method or measuring instrument as digital multimeter to test its functions?

But some solder flux is remaining under the soldered ic... Will it not produce oxides and cause problem?
@HaseebElectronics7 ай бұрын
when IPA is applied, it removes most of the flux

I see sometimes diode (not led), connected with resistor in parallel. Why?
